As always I received excellent service from the staff. The room, while economical, was clean, tidy and attractively decorated. A microwave, small TV, coffeemaker, and refrigerator were sanitary and in working order. The hot water is plentiful and the shower/ bathtub larger than what is usually found in a motel of this price bracket. Two Queen sized beds, neatly made with crisp white linens were comfortable and set with plenty of fresh pillows. The central location is optimal for dining and shopping and just a few minutes away from historic downtown Chipley, Florida, and from a nature park. Panama City is less than an hour away, and the beaches are about the same. The price of a room is very reasonable and one would expect to pay a hundred dollars or more per night for a comparable accommodation, but not here. I've had excellent experiences, here, at The Roof Inn, Chipley, Florida, and will recommend the establishment to friends and family for the foreseeable future.

Hotel.Com rated this location as 8 out of 10. I beg to differ. The two things that it had going for it were a friendly staff and a comfortable bed. Everything else was shameful. The first room we chose had no working TV - bad connection to the cable. We were given a second room and while the TV worked the rest of the room was painfully old. Holes in the wall, noisy bathroom fan, a patched tub, roaches. The breakfast was poorly stocked with little selection

Loved the staff and clean rooms. Check in and check out was a breeze. The cleaning staff made sure we had everything we needed and so did the front desk guy. We love staying here when we visit family and can't wait to stay again!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites for a variety of reasons. First off the hotel itself was clean and the rooms well appointed. Secondly, the room rate was decent. Third, the breakfast in the morning was very good and it was a full accompaniment of food items. Fourth, the front desk staff on all shifts was incredibly helpful, polite and courteous.... I do believe they went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I had everything that we needed and were being taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.
