Uncomfortable beds dipped in the middle. Lots of fluff under the bed. My dog was covered. Only one dining chair to sit on. Cold floors it needed rugs for the freezing winter. No restaurant or bar no atmosphere just basic. Breakfast was not worth the money. No hot food. Not even white bread.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is well situated in Chinon with free parking directly opposite in the square. The interior is very stylish and our room was modern and well equipped. The breakfast room is very inviting and there was a very good choice of food including fresh croissants, toast, jams, cheese, ham, yoghurts, nuts, fruit, eggs etc and it is all beautifully presented in a nice airy conservatory. The staff at the hotel are most obliging and speak good english. Overall an excellent choice if you want a central hotel at a competive price. To be highly recommended.

This hotel is superb. It is well located and there is free parking just in front in the square. The welcome was first class and the room very spacious and well equipped. The breakfast served as a buffet in the conservatory had a wonderful choice of food and drinks including smoked salmon and home made fruit salad and cakes as well as pastries and a good selection of hot and cold drinks. We ate dinner in the Bistro du Marche next door which had an excellent menu. All in all a great hotel which we would highly recommend as you are very well treated and the facilities are all excellent.

We indeed booked a cheaper room so there may be much better rooms in this hotel, but ... Plus points: lots of parking in the square outside, good updated bathroom with a proper walk in shower. Strong air-conditioning. Pleasant staff. Minus: really small room opening off a narrow outdoor balcony walkway; seriously tough to manage with a suitcase. Cheap furnishings and the window opened right on to the walkway. Only one bedside light. Ancient lock and key. We were hoping for a bit more.

Well situated for Chinon and the Loire. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Secure car parking. a little off the beaten track but easy to find. Great breakfast and good service at reception for an early start.

We were on a trip with friends to the Loire Valley. I booked two rooms at this hotel - requesting a king-sized or "twin" room for both rooms. One room was spacious and had a king-sized bed. The other was tiny - with a full-sized bed. My husband and I (who are tall) had to turn side-ways to get around the end of the bed. When we were preparing for the day, one of us would leave the room so the other had room to maneuver. There was nowhere to put our luggage. The bathrooms are quite outdated and we had to add water to the back of the toilet to get it to flush properly.

Very comfortable room with air conditioning (which was important in a heatwave) the manager was very helpful, the breakfast quite adequate and the position of the hotel is great in relation to the old town and fortress. The only blemish was the complete lack of response from a staff member when we arrived before 3 wanting to store our bicycles. Nonetheless I would still recommend the hotel.

From the multiple signs warning that reception is closed until 15.00 to the scruffy patch of garden with dirty furniture described as ‘an enclosed garden by the manager in her best franglais - this is a place to miss when visiting Chinon. One set of The bedroom curtains revealed a breeze block wall and the bed mattress was lumpy and probably pre dated the building. The breakfast room was Butlins a la 1950 with dirty cups. Tea and coffee in the common area consisted of a large box of PG Tips , a kettle and some paper cups. I have tried to make this review light hearted but it was a struggle

1/ erreur a l’accueil sur la réservation que j’avais faite en ligne. Après 10 mn de discussion, l’hôtesse est allée sur la réservation pour dire «  je me suis trompée ». Cela arrive à tous. 2/ chambre 113, nuit de saint sylvestre. 14 degrés dans la chambre et pire dans la SDB. Dormi habillé, certes je n’avais pas bu d’alcool pour une fois, c’est con! 3/ on vous change de chambre demain avec «  la suite »! Super…. Mais pas de chauffage. 4/ le proprio vient, l’ambiance vers1 heure du matin finit par se réchauffer. La proprio s’engage à faire une remise 5/ j’arrive à la réception ce main, 167,5 € au lieu de 164 € sur la réservation, toutes taxes comprises. 6/ je demande le proprio. Remise 10€, une bouffonnerie. J’insiste. Il m’offre un chinon 2014 ( un des plus petits millésimes. Je suis vigneron). Bouteille en expo sur la vitrine du bar!! Je suis un looser !!!

Très bon petit déjeuné. Chambre supérieur très médiocre avec une salle de bains est a refaire.revoir l'installation du frigo et bouilloire se trouvant dans la deuxième salle de bain posé sur une planche au dessus de la baignoire.Équiper la chambre de stores, car les rideaux occultant ne suffisent pas à faire du noir.

C’est un ami qui m’avait conseillé je n’étais pas dessus et il est bien situé ,il est à proximité des commerces c’est Super Il est en centre-ville c’est un hôtel que je recommande à mes amis trop cool

Les chambres sont belles et confortables, parfois dans un style très classique ce qui se marie bien avec le lieu. Le petit déjeuner est qualitatif, et l'accueil est agréable dans cet hotel place jeanne d'arc. Vous pouvez vous garer facilement, attention au jeudi, jour du marché ou il faut se garer sur certaines places (entre la statue et le commissariat). Seul petit bémol, chambre en étage avec une escalier en bois assez bruyant et étroit pour y accéder mais c'est un détail.

Charmant hôtel dans une maison bourgeoise, les chambres ressemblent aux pièces de la maison, mais toutes bien équipées (lits confortables, salle de bains spacieuse...). Un grand parking public gratuit se situe devant l'hôtel. Accueil personnalisé charmant, la maîtresse de maison est très agréable. Seul bémol, petit déjeuner un peu léger pour un hôtel de cette qualité
