Quite honestly, this hotel is very very grim. When we arrived, we actually thought we were going in at the back of the building. Outside the door was so scruffy! When we went through the doors, there were a number of staff standing around talking and I thought maybe we had gone in a back door and we were in a staff canteen! There was a low standard table with a laptop sitting on it - this was the reception desk! When we got to our room, our first impression wasn't improved. It's so grubby and badly maintained. I didn't want to put bare feet on the filthy carpet so I kept my shoes beside the bed. The bath - ugh. There really is no excuse and this isn't acceptable. Also, the balcony - filthy, and some dangerous looking cracks in the balcony wall. Also a dangerously dark corridor at night (floor 2). Time to change some lights I think! There is a swimming pool and I normally swim every day. We had our swimwear with us but one look at the pool and we decided we weren't going to use it. On the positive side - the breakfast offering was lovely and the blond lady who managed this area was super efficient at keeping all items topped up and keeping the area clean, despite having her arm in a splint. Also the air conditioning in the room worked well. All in all though - investment is very badly needed. I couldn't return if it remains in this sorry state.
