Just a road trip rest stop this time. I saw a lot of bad or disappointing reviews for this location that caused us some concerns when booking. Our visit was very good. The check in receptionist when we arrived close to 8pm on Friday Aug. 23, 2024, was just Great. She was friendly, welcoming and pleasant to deal with. The room was clean and had all the items you would expect to be furnished. The only problem we had during our visit was a cold shower. We later learned that a water pipe had broken and was repaired as soon as possible. We initially thought it was an excess demand issue due to all the firefighters that were staying at the hotel and arriving around the same time. Things like this happen from time to time. If you are a homeowner you can understand that there are things the hotel can't control. If the issue had gone on for over a day, I would have expected compensation. But they took care of the issue as soon as they learned about it, even working at night. That's all they can really do. Our check out receptionist at 640am Saturday was just as pleasant and informative as the young lady that checked us in. Breakfast was exactly fine and exactly what we have come to expect from staying at many other HI Express locations. We will be returning to this hotel int he future!
