Hotel Pustertalerhof

We stayed here for 5 nights and were very satisfied. Starting with the warm welcome, the attractively designed room, the very tasty gastronomic supply for breakfast and dinner, the excellent wine recommendation, the extensive wellness area and the staff, who were friendly in every situation, we didn't miss anything. We recovered very well and would gladly recommend the Pustertaler Hof.

Second time to visit! Just great! Rooms, SPA facilities, swimming pool, food... Everything is just right here! Good starting point for hiking and exploring the Pustertal. Very friendly and attentive staff. South Tyrol only with the Gatterer family! Thank you and see you soon!😍

Unfortunately for us the hotel was more of a disappointment. The online presence conveys the image of a completely new or completely renovated hotel. This is definitely not the case. Yes the wellness area, the reception area and one of three restaurant areas was new. That's it, a maximum of 1/3 are new or renovated. The age of the hotel can already be seen in the stairwell and in the hallway. Neither our entire hotel room nor our table area was renovated. We were there with friends. They had booked the same room category as we, only we had a room with a kitchen and therefore a 10 €per person higher room price. The kitchen was necessary because unfortunately the other rooms are not equipped with a refrigerator or minibar and a refrigerator is essential with a baby. Our friends had a completely new room that was much nicer than the one in the booking and ours. So I felt cheated by the value for money. If I had known the condition of the room beforehand, I would never have considered booking at this price, far too expensive. Another negative aspect was that the room was not clean when we moved in. Everywhere on the floor and on the upholstered furniture were white dog hair, the bathroom mirror still had toothpaste stains from the previous guest and the kitchen made a completely uncleaned impression (stains on the worktop, peppers in the sink and butter stains in the fridge). The daily room service was positive. This cleaned the bathroom and the floor cleaner than the final cleaning. The service staff in the restaurant and at the bar was very good and as flexible as possible. The breakfast and dinner was extensive and delicious. The pool had a comfortable temperature, was very nice and modern and above all very large. On the homepage there was also talk of a bathing pond. This was more like a pond. Since the hotel is located directly on the main connecting road from the autobahn to Bruneck, it was extremely noisy and restless at night due to the very heavy truck traffic. Unfortunately, closing the good noise-absorbing windows was also not possible because the room was very stuffy and had no air conditioning. My conclusion is that despite the beautiful pool, I would definitely have chosen a different hotel. I would love to go on vacation again to be able to end this summer with a more positive hotel and vacation experience.

The hotel has a spa with a designer indoor pool that also extends outside. The SPA would be fantastic if it weren't completely at the mercy of screaming children, even in the "adults only" area where, as is often the case in South Tyrolean hotels, swimsuits are not allowed. In the pool area, under the pleased gazes of their parents, flocks of children throw themselves "bombshell" from all sides, risking to jump on your back in moments of maximum influx. Too bad because it would take very little to make those places hospitable for all guests of the structure. The Nature room we had was actually a little different from the images on the site and what had been passed off to us was actually at least ten years old. However the room was cozy and spacious so nothing to say. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was varied and well presented, but the cuisine never reached levels of excellence, even though it was pleasing to the palate. Good services are offered, especially the electric bike rental. Very friendly all the staff in the room and the cleaners. In general, however, the 280 euros per room seemed a little exaggerated for our stay, especially since we were neither in Brunico nor in Corvara but in Chienes, just over 700 meters above sea level.
