Safari Inn - Chico

Property had broken down cars motorhomes in the parking lot weeds growing everywhere. The pool deck was gross. The website pictures definitely do not reflect the condition of this property.

Clean,decent rooms,good location,friendly staff.As one of the less expensive motels in Chico,attracts young party people.I was kept awake by people next door.

Room looked like it did in the 70’s. The smell was Horrendous.yom been sick and there was no way she could smell that for 2 nights, so we left and didn’t stay !!

I did not like the permanent travel trailer in the parking lot next to my room. I did not like the dead roaches in the bathroom. Very little water pressure from the shower.

We forgot to make hotel reservations so ended up at the Safari Inn. It is not an inn, but a motel. It is priced accordingly so you are certainly getting what you pay for. Parking is free, there is a nice pool and a TV. The rooms are a fair size for this type of travelers motel. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC did not work well, but it worked. The bathroom was small and out of date, but clean. I have seen a lot of negative reviews and I don't get it. This is not nor does it pretend to be a luxury hotel. It is a perfectly fine, safe and nice place to sleep and let the kids play in the pool. The service was very nice. We were there but one night so I can't say much about housekeeping except that our room was clean. I would stay here again. We travel a lot and sometimes a budget friendly place is where you want to be. Have fun in Chico.

The room pictures in ******* must have been a room they fixed up, because the room we were in was questionable on if it was clean (possibly makeup on the bedspread), in the bathroom paint was peeling off the wall in large section, there was black looking mold in the shower, and the knob for the hot water in the shower fell off (if one likes cold showers). To close the window in the bath one of us walk around to the back of the motel to push it close while the other one stood on the toilet to lock it. The lock for the front window was a 1x1. The black out curtains had multiply small rips through out.
