First impressions were excellent the bar area looked stylish and Modern. We were taken to our Russet Garden Room, upon entering the room we noticed a damp, musky smell which was very unpleasant. (I did in fact buy and air fresher for the room) There were 2 different design chairs, one was stained, there were stains on the carpet. Not a good start, then I noticed the UHT milk pots, at £160 per night I would expect fresh milk. A small fridge for the room would be beneficial for this purpose. The curtains need some sort of blackout on them, sunrise at 5.00am, bedroom flooded with light. The bed was super comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and crisp, generous bath towels they were not. The room was such a let down, the site, bar and restaurant were really beautiful with some stunning flower displays. the most friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was really lovely, tasted fresh and I assume local produce. The rooms could be beautiful but definitely need some attention.
