For business travelers, this spot is perfectly situation along the Northeast end of the Loop, meaning that you can get to River North by foot and the convention center via the L easily. The checkin process was great, and the staff were friendly. I was surprised by the $25/night resort fee at checkin (the place aint' a resort), but the clerk gave me a free drink voucher and handful of free breakfast vouchers that I used at the coffee shop each morning, which helped reduce the overall shock to the system. (The coffee shop does a mean chai latte and is a nice place to work on a laptop if you're early for checkin.) The vibe of the hotel itself is pretty sweet. If you're into bright colors and neon sign, then this place is for you. The rooftop bar gets a little clubby in the evening, so if that's not your scene, then arrive when the sun is still out. The room itself was lovely and clever—I liked the sliding doors that separated the bathroom/closet area from the bedroom. Overall, would def stay here again if I'm back in Chicago.

Loved our time at the Loews Chicago! My husband had a meeting in Chicago and my 7 y/o son and I tagged along. The staff was beyond amazing. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. The hotel was very family-friendly while still having a 4-star hotel vibe. We had a Junior Suite which was perfect for a family. Only funky thing was no window in our living room - but we had a nice view from the bedroom. Bathroom is huge! We had a large walk-in shower and big tub (which my son loved). Location is fantastic too. Easy 10-15 min walk to both Navy Pier and Millennium Park. Plus a Starbucks inside the hotel. Plus a Whole Foods across the street. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Chicago.

The hotel is very clean and tidy. The biggest feature of the room is the floor-to-ceiling windows. The scenery outside the window is very clear. Although there is no bustling Michigan Avenue, it is still good! There is a bar on the 18th floor of the hotel, not big. The hotel has a restaurant on the left side of the hotel entrance, named Somerset, in the room can also book this restaurant in the room dinning, about twenty or thirty minutes to deliver the meal to the room. I really like the bathroom's minimalist wash suit, which is white tea, especially fragrant and comfortable. Shopping, dining and entertainment are nearby. Not far from there are Chinese restaurants, such as Imperial Lamian, Old Sichuan, MingHin Cuisine, Shanghai Terrance, which are just a few minutes from Uber. Royal chef and old Sichuan are very popular! It is also 10 minutes from the hotel to the famous scenic spot Michigan Avenue, which is also close to Navy Pier and Millennium Park. The fly in the ointment is that the sound insulation in the hotel is not good, the guests from the opposite side of the room can hear the opening of the door, but the overall is good!

The Pendry is a beautiful hotel in an historic building situated close to restaurants and museums. They provided an exceptional guest experience, especially Muriel at the front desk)! When we checked in, Muriel asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I told her we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and she upgraded our room. During our stay, Muriel sent champagne with a kind note, which made us feel very special. In the morning, Muriel asked where we were going and offered us directions and tips. Upon check in, all guests receive a welcome cocktail and a voucher for 1/2 dozen oysters at the hotel’s restaurant Venteux. The food at Venteux is fabulous! I am a guest of your's. I am very happy here. I sing highly of your service. First of all, the hotel is so beautiful. It looks like a garden. I enjoy it. Then, foods are delicious and some of them are amazing. Most important reason is that the bed is so big and soft that I don't want to get up every morning. It's wonderful here. I had a very good experience staying at this hotel. First of all, the hotel room is very comfortable, the bed is neat and clean, and it provides me with a good sleeping environment. In addition, the hotel's facilities are also very complete, including free high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, mini bar, etc., which met all my daily needs. The hotel's restaurant is also great, providing a wide variety of food options, allowing me to enjoy delicious dining services during my stay. More importantly, the hotel's staff have a very good service attitude, are enthusiastic and considerate, and solved various problems I encountered. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay in this hotel.

The experience from check-in to check-out was superb. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect because it is the heart of everything on Michigan Avenue! When we walked out of the hotel, shopping and restaurants were all around! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

GGuest UserWe stayed here on a 2 day vacation after getting married (not the honeymoon). We were on the 7th floor so we thought it would be rather quiet, or, at least, not too much ambient noise from outside. We were wrong. We heard cars, sirens and utility trucks like they were right outside our window. We heard the elevator ding every time someone called for one. The walls (exterior and interior) must be very thin compared to every other hotel we've been to.
We ordered Chinese from a nearby restaurant and it was very good, but we had way more than we could finish. Opened up the fridge and it was turned off! We turned it on high and it never got very cold. We probably should have called the front desk, but instead we told them on the way out.
The ice machine was broken on our floor and the vending machine would not take credit cards. The rooms are dated. The bathroom lights are very bright and only one switch for all of them. When going to the bathroom in the middle of the night you are blinded. This is ridiculous. There should be a way of illuminating in at least 2 stages or at least don't install concert lighting.
The staff were not friendly nor inviting. The pillows and sheets were nice, but the bet was very uncomfortable.
All in all I would never stay here again and wish I had seen a review like this when I researched area hotels.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!

GGuest UserWe almost always stay at Marriotts or HIltons — when we've stayed at boutique hotels, we've found that the rooms are a little too quirky or way too overpriced (or both!). But this was the recommended hotel for a nearby wedding, so we booked it. And it exceeded our expectations, and then some. The room was massive, with a gorgeous bathroom, high ceilings, and excellent bedding. The food at the restaurant downstairs was great. And the staff was remarkably friendly (our stay was from a Saturday night through Monday morning, and with street parking being free on Sundays, the staff gave us a heads up so we could save the money instead of parking in a nearby garage). We loved this hotel — we'd happily stay here again!

- Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects.
- Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself.
-If you still do your rounds but you don’t inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldn’t be in that position.
Room fridge isn’t working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so who’s fault is it? client or hotel? don’t charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service.
Also, if you guys are having a group of “young teen/just turn 21” people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didn’t required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These “kids” were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare.
Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated.
I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but there’s no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience.
Not sure if I would give it a second try. Can’t risk it.

SsknoseyThe free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating.
There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm.
There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

There are Korean dishes 10 minutes walk north, which is very appetizing. It's also very close to Chinatown.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a far cry from the one advertised on the website. It needs a deep clean, making for a only bearable stay if you're never planning on being in the room aside from sleeping. However, the beds are not comfortable so I can't say sleep was easy come by either. Definitely bring shower shoes to wear - no bare feet on that carpet! The front desk staff do a good job selling you on downloading the hotel app, but do not be duped into thinking you might get a free night after gaining the right number of points via the app. You only get this if you make a whole new booking with a special rate from the company. This is not what the front desk clerk told me when I checked-in and I wouldn't have bothered joining if I'd been told the truth, as I never plan on staying at this hotel or with this chain again. (I wonder why I was told a falsehood...!) While the location is great, I'm not sure it's worth the money to stay here. I'd rather have paid more for a nicer experience, or booked father afield for a cleaner more pleasant hotel.

GGuest UserWe attended the Chicago International Miniature show at the nearby Marriott O'Hare. Because that hotel was full, we booked the Springhill Suites. They ran a shuttle to the other hotel with a super nice front desk staffer driving. The hotel itself was fine and the free breakfast was above average. Parking was on long surface lots on both ends of the hotel, but there is also an underground garage. The onsite Outback steakhouse was a plus. Rooms were good, nice and quiet despite being near airport and freeway with a microwave and small fridge

GGuest UserWe got lucky and got an okay room with no significant health violations. The facilities are very dated but we expected that by reading the reviews. One alarming factor was that the locks did not work at all. The check-in was okay, but the receptionist was not very communicative.

After coming here, I was shocked by the skyscrapers here. The skyscraper skyline is comparable to that of New York. Along the way, I walked along the coast and kept running around me. If you have time, you can take a cruise to unlock Chicago from a different angle.
McCormick Place
Llove is blueThis was my first time attending the RSNA Annual Meeting at McCormick Place, and wow my goodness this place is huge. As the shuttle got closer to the building, I was already excited by the views. We toured the entire building and walked 14,000 steps in one day! We just walked and walked, visiting every corner of every hall, definitely a great calorie burner! Food can be a little pricey here, but there is a McDonalds so I'm fine. Souvenir shop, and they also provide FedEx if you need it. Lovely, magnificent building!
Chinatown
SShirley LiuI haven’t been here for 4 years, but I still feel a sense of intimacy when I return to Chicago’s Chinatown after the epidemic. There are a few more shops, and there are quite a few tourists at 7pm. Dinner was at Phoenix Restaurant, one of the best options in Chicago. The food tastes very authentic and the human touch is deeply felt.
