The room was clean. I rented a Hefeng double room. There was very little place to put luggage after the mattress was opened, but my sister rented 2 rooms for 4 people. They were very spacious and had small combs. This homestay does not have an elevator. We live on the 3rd and 4th floors and have to carry our luggage upstairs but the stairs are relatively narrow. If you go with the elderly, it is not suitable. This homestay cannot enter with shoes. You must enter except shoes, but there are slippers after entering. This homestay is about 25 minutes from the pier. It is more convenient to call a car, which costs about $150.

The hotel is in an excellent location. You can watch the sunset and sea of clouds from the 8th floor. There are special cars to transport guests to and from the tourist park. The staff's service attitude is very good and they patiently explain the ways to visit the park. Good food for breakfast and dinner!

Clean and warm room for January. Simple check in and out. Hot water available for drinks only, no snacks or cup noodles. Breakfast at Haishan Yuan Restaurant is simple Chinese breakfast of rice porridge, fried noodles, mantou bread and vegetables and condiments, food was ok but not sure if suitable for fussy eaters, however generous serving. Offer of drop off to Alishan bus station is a great service, but would have been better if they offer a pickup service to go uphill to the hotel as well.

The B&B is only a 5-minute uphill walk from the bus station, which is great for a solo traveler like me on the go using public transportation. The short climb is worth it when you consider the spectacular views of sunrise and sunset you get at the venue. Checking in is simple and smooth. The host was also kind enough to greet me at the bus. The room I booked is relatively small but the double-size futon bed is firm and has given me 3 nights if comfortable rest. There is no table but the wall-side low counter and stool allows me to have my takeout meal. The bathroom is functional and clean. The only downside is the noise I feel are the noise made by other international travellers (the German and English speakers during my stay 12/27-12/29) who have shown no consideration for other guests, but earplugs allow me to drown it out when I sleep. The buffet-style breakfast is all delicious and plentiful. The owner himself makes fresh coffee from his Nespresso for you. For dinner, I have bought very affordable local takeout noodle stew at a stall near the bus stop, and there is also a convenience store where I could buy food for my next-day mountain hike. The best and key part of the stay has been the photo-taking opportunities at sunrise and sunset, not forgetting the cats in their “cat cafe” outside the restaurant. Overall, for the low price, it is of excellent value.

They are all very good, but the biggest problem is that there are too many dry and wet separations. The sink is outside, there is a shower bathtub, a toilet, and it is also on the doorway. It is easy for the floor to get wet at the door, but at night in the South Wing of the Forbidden City The scenery is beautiful! The couch by the window is so comfortable!
