Male room has smell when many people stayed in. Otherwise the toilet and bathroom is clean. The Breakfast is simple toast.

Good Hostel, about 10 minutes walk from the station

The location is good, not that far from the train station. It closes to the night market which we can find good food to eat at night time. The hostel has pretty large space and clean. The toilet is good. And They provided bread and drinks for breakfast. However, the staff is not that friendly. But it’s the nice place to stay.

Good place to stay

The environment of the youth hostel is very good, with an excellent location. It is located in the city center, next to the famous Wenhua Road Night Market, which has a lot of delicious food. The youth hostel also has a large area, complete facilities, and breakfast is provided, which is great!

Chiayi Youth Hostel can be booked online for $556. It is a high-quality hotel with the same level as Luodong 3W Youth Hostel. It has air-conditioning and is very cold. Free parking can be reserved. There are 4 parking spaces at the entrance (no parking spaces without reservation). Breakfast is included. Toasted toast and brewed coffee are available behind the counter on the first floor. The lockers can be locked and used free of charge. Parking spaces in special sections at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Wenhua Road Night Market are very expensive at 25 yuan for half an hour. 08:00~22:00 and free after 10 p.m.

The room was very clean, which was a plus. However, towels were not provided. There was an additional charge. Breakfast seemed to be just toast with sauce, so I didn't eat it. Although it's not far from Chiayi Railway Station, it takes about 10 minutes to walk.

The staff was always polite and I was able to stay with peace of mind. I recommend this place for solo travelers in Taichung. They were kind enough to arrange parking, and the cost is great as it's included in the price of the room.

The rooms all look clean and tidy, the bathrooms and toilets are also good, the guests are relatively quiet, sometimes there are few people living in the room or even one person per room, breakfast is simple bread 🍞
