First, the hotel, the view, the staff and everything about this place is as good as it gets. However, I want to write todays review on the cooking class called Spice Spoons. The head Chef of our program was PJ and he was absolutely fantastic. You start with a tour of the local market which is something we have not experienced before. Then, we came back to the hotel and had about an hour or so to relax as the tour started at 7am. Then we met PJ in the private kitchen and cooked our own meals. He cooks each dish first as we watch and he explains what everything is and what he is doing and then we replicate it and cook ourselves at our own stations. Then we sit at a beautiful table and eat our dishes. PJ was wonderful. He was funny, had all the answers from the questions the group had, was extremely knowledgeable and was an absolute joy to be with. I highly recommend this and definitely request PJ.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel property is stunning. The hotel staff were knowledgable, friendly, and very welcoming. The food and drinks were excellent. We experienced Walking With Giants which was the highlight of our trip and truly magical. The spa services were tremendous as well. The only negative I would have to say about the hotel is that the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors next door, otherwise, excellent experience. Would strongly recommend to anybody traveling to Chiang Rai.

If you go to Chiang Rai, and if you hate elephants, and luxury, and great service, and quality wherever you look…..you will have a miserable time. Look away now. If, however, you seek a wonderful hotel with views over Laos and Myanmar, with beautifully appointed rooms, great service and great food…you might want to reappraise your view. And if, like me, you love nature but are a little afraid of meeting it up close, then come here. Meeting rescued elephants. Touch them cautiously, wonder at their majesty, and admire their quiet, generous power. It’s a staggering experience and I commend it to you all.

A fantastic 3 night stay with my wife at this wonderful hotel. Location was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful and food was great. We packed our trip with the various experiences on offer and they were just fantastic. Would particularly like to call out the walking with giants, the boat and golden triangle trip and the jungle bubble experience. This was a great start to our trip proper after a few days in Bangkok and tbh is going to be hard to match

Our experience at Anantara Golden Triangle was nothing short of excellent. The interaction with the elephants was truly special, and the care and dedication shown by the veterinarians were impressive. They took the time to explain how they ensure the safety and well-being of these magnificent creatures, which added a meaningful depth to our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the wide range of activities offered made it a one-of-a-kind experience. Anantara Golden Triangle is a destination that combines luxury with a deep connection to nature, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and enriching getaway
