This hotel is becoming dated and requires a little loving, but in it's day it would have been an amazing place to stay. The rooms are large and comfortable. Our room had a nice view of the hills around Chiang Mai. The rooms, although dated, are clean and reasonably well set out. The beds and pillow towels are serviced daily. Room service is available. Breakfast had a good range of dishes, a d I loved you could order your eggs your way, scrambled, or an omelette or sunny side up, but fresh.
It's a very busy hotel, and the reason the staff are not able to give the best service.
The pool and gym are excellent, but it would be of benefit to the fact that hotel guests didn't have to venture down to reception to get a voucher to go to the gym first.
A short walk to coffee shops, and cafes and short drives to three major shopping centres.
Still an enjoyable stay at an old majestic beauty.

The table was not cleaned. There were still rice on it when we arrived. The room is very wide however it has low ceiling. The hotel is an old one and is massive in size. Perfect for a horror set up. 😅 You can use the pool for free as hotel guest and outsiders can use it for a fee. No bidet but with bath tub. Also there are bed bugs.

This hotel is a lot older than I expected. Not of a fan of the carpet throughout. I never felt comfortable stepping on it with bare feet after taking a shower. There were some spots of who knows what on the walkways. A renovation to replace the carpet with tiled floor would do this place good. No body wash, just tiny hand soap for showers. The location isn’t really a selling point. The breakfast and dinner buffets were just okay.

Great place in Chiang Mai. I booked for 2 nights and it was indeed a good stay. I wished I have stayed for longer time.
