Old facility Breakfast is not a buffet. The facility seems to need repairs. But the staff were all friendly

Like staying in the home of your long-lost Thai family. Architecturally notable property of vintage teakwood construction and carvings, interesting tile work and murals. Located in a mixed-use area with everything from the usual massage places and laundries to busy late-night entertainment spots. The house was originally the family home of your host, Mai, who will do everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay. I loved the pool and the breakfast choices. Don't miss Mai's macrobiotic breakfast, which includes her homemade miso, congee, fresh fruit, and sautéed vegetables from the organic farm. Of course, bacon, eggs and toast available too. A little off the tourist path, but dial a Grab, and you can be just about anywhere in Chiang Mai in under 10 minutes.

We chose this hotel because it was recommended by The Telegraph - however we were disappointed. The rooms although authentic weren’t very clean. It is not a central hotel and out on a limb and it is next door to an incredibly noisy nightclub. The owners were very polite and helpful and breakfast was interesting. It’s shabby chic but certainly more shabby than chic.

Ruen Come In was a nice local place to stay that I’d encourage anyone to stay at. The hotel itself is a great design with teak throughout and it’s very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The landscape has green spaces and it’s located just far enough from the old city to be out of the hustle but very easy to get downtown too. The owners were extremely helpful, personable, and just all around good people. They even took their personal time to host several of us guests at the lantern festival in their home town, which was authentic and amazing. The hotel is excellent and the staff and owners genuinely care about their guests.

Absolutely fantastic place! Clean, modern, comfortable and a big big TV in every room. I stayed here for over two months. The hosts are a lovely Thai family that go above and beyond to make sure all their guests have a good stay. Can’t complain will be back later. Felt like a home away from home.

There are a number of hotels you can pick around Chiang Mai, but I doubt you'll find anything like this, which is a collection of teak houses on a decent sized plot, a family owned hotel which feels like it's gradually been engulfed by modern Chiang Mai as the city expands. The owners are lovely people, and the lady of the house goes out of her way to ensure everything is to your liking ( as well as giving us a lift over to the station to get rail ticlets when there was a tropical downpour). The pool is enough to swim in, the gardens are lovely and the breakfast brilliant. HOWEVER - it is a good bit out of the old city....we borrowed hotel cycles, but they are a bit old, and therefore a bit of a slog. We also hired scooters, which worked really well. But there are no worthwhile bars /restaurants in strolling distance, which makes life difficult, especially in 36 plus heat. If you get the choice I'd suggest the rooms on the left of the compound. The rooms on the right, whilst older and more authentic, are also nearer the bypass, and thus noisier. But overall I really loved staying here - it's warm, it's different, it's Thai.

Wonderful, warm stay at Ruen come in. Family run hotel on the outskirts of the old town. Lovely hosts. Great location to stay in Chiang Mai. Waking distance to a busy bustling area. Lovely clean room, great breakfast and a pool area. Would stay again!

I had a lovely holiday in Ruen. It's a family-run hotel, and the owner and her son are very friendly and welcoming. We loved the vegetation, the spacious rooms and the breakfast. They also have their organic farm, where they get the eggs for breakfast, which is pretty cool. The only downside is that it can be a little noisy outside as you can hear the vehicles from the streets. Although it's a fantastic place for a short trip, I recommend this hotel to anyone. Happy vibes!

The staff at this hotel are sooo lovely, they can't do enough for you ! The breakfast was nice and the hotel even dark there own water melons and eggs. The hotel is super cute with lovely wood work structure. The only down side I would say is the pool does not look like the picture and wasn't very clean. The location is also a 15 minute walk from any shops/restraunt. Overall we have a lovely stay here and would deffo recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. The owners did everything they could to make our stay as great as possible. The rooms were very comfortable and the pool was a lovely bonus. There were bikes we could use to cycle into the centre of chiang Mai. Set out of the main square but in a really lovely part of town that we probably wouldn’t have visited otherwise. Loads of great restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed at this Lanna style family run apartment hotel for three nights in January. Our room was in the new rosewood house, which was very different from the original teak building. It is located in a quiet part of the town with few tourist attractions, but it is a short drive to Nimmanahaeminda Road, which is a great local street with cafes, bookstores, and Mayan Mall, if you need household supplies or... Adhere to consumer protectionism. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room when we stayed here, but nothing that citronella oil couldn't solve, and the owner was very helpful and found a fly swatter and plug-in mosquito coil, although there were no more obvious devices that could be used immediately. It was a shame, but we didn't need to bother the staff. The breakfast selection was amazing, which is to be expected since the aparthotel also doubles as a local restaurant. The pool is quite small, but we didn't take full advantage of it while we were there. I doubt it will be overcrowded as there is only a small amount of space available. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but might ask for a teak room for a slightly more authentic experience.
