Amazing! The owners were friendly and kind, the breakfast was delicious, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, and welcoming. We would absolutely stay again! Also, the cafe on site is excellent: they roast their own coffee beans right there. Be sure to try the dirty coffee!

We love Gord Nuea The location is great. The hotel grounds is lovely. The owners, the wife and the husband are so friendly and genuinely kind people. If I come back to chiang mai I would definitely stay here again.

The room is quiet in a busy area, the service makes people feel at home, and the price-performance ratio is very high. The small courtyard is very cozy, and the roosters can climb the wall.

A very beautiful and warm family-style hotel, very clean. You have to take off your shoes when entering. The breakfast is delicious, but I recommend the dirty coffee sold in front. The taste is incredible. It is very close to the scenic spot. It is a very good place.

The owners and staff were absolutely wonderful and made me and the other guests really feel like home. The warm welcome, attention to details, and personal touch were really unique. The location is great -- in the heart of the old city, but quiet and peaceful at night, tucked away in a little alley.

The place was wonderful! It was quaint, relaxed, quiet, and beautiful. On top of that, it is located inside the square, so it's within walking distance of many interesting landmarks. There are a lot of great places to eat nearby as well. The service was amazing, there were daily little snack deserts and breakfast was a-la-carte. We're looking forward to our next trip to Chiang Mai and we're definitely planning on staying in the same place.

Really wonderful accommodations. Clean, centrally located, and comfortable. As a single woman, I appreciated how secure I felt, both inside my room and on the premises. I wish I hadn't gotten an upset stomach during my trip, but Nom was nice enough to make me a simple scrambled egg breakfast every morning to help ease my discomfort. Very appreciative.

It was a such enjoyable stay that we extended it for a few more days, luckily hotel had a last minute cancelation. The place is undesirable clean, free unlimited drinking water, the monogrammed white linens, comfortable beds, peaceful courtyard with a cute coffee shop. Don't forget to try Dirty Coffee here, at Pegasus Coffee & Roastery. It is the latest trend in Asia and so delicious. "Wake up and smell the coffee"... could experience this daily because Mr. Nong roasts his coffee in the sophisticated machine at the hotel's courtyard. Mrs. Nom offers basic breakfast (eggs, bread, jam, bananas, tea and coffee and local sweets/dessert) for free to the hotel guests. Additional breakfast menu is available to the more hungry guests and visitors (extra charge). The proprietors, Mrs. Nom and Mr. Nong, is a hard working couple; they make your stay at their place unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Could not relate this adorable hotel more highly. Perfect location, lovely staff, great rooms, and amazing coffee place within the premises as well! Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future if we are back in Chiang Mai. Could not recommend more highly - value for money here is incredible!

The Gordneua is a small family run hotel set back from a quiet road, but very central within the old quarter of Chiang Mai and its attractions. From the road you can not see it as it is at the end of a 30m drive (there is a sign at the entrance), set behind houses closer to the road. Therefore you would be forgiven for overlooking it, but you will be missing out on visiting a very special place. The hotel is a mixture of guest accommodation and the owner's quarters, set like a horse shoe around a beautiful and tranquil courtyard, where there are tables to eat your breakfast (excellent, very cheap, and huge quantity), have a cup of coffee (Nong, one of the owners is a skilled barista who even roasts his own beans), or just generally have a quiet moment of relaxation. Rooms are very clean, spacious and have very powerful air conditioning. I found the bed very comfortable and noticed how good the quality of the linen was. However, the thing that really makes this hotel so special is the proprietors, Nom (Mrs) and Nong (Mr). They are both so friendly and can not do enough for you, and they clearly want you to enjoy your stay with them. In some way, it felt like staying with your favourite relatives. This hotel was excellent value for money. It is described as 2* but I would rate it 3*, and a very good one at that. If ever I was in Chiang Mai again, this is the only hotel I would go to, not only because of how comfortable and pleasant I found it, but because I would want to see Nom and Nong again

It is located in an alley and is very quiet. It is easy to get a songthaew at the entrance of the alley. It is very close to the Saturday, Sunday and night markets. The owner of the B&B is very kind and considerate. The cafe opened by the B&B owner downstairs is also worth visiting. It is a very nice place. A homestay with a human touch.

It felt like staying at a Thai home. In fact, luxury hotels are convenient, but they don't leave behind any special aspects of the trip. Even if I go to Chiang Mai again, I will choose this place again. The location within the Old City is also excellent as it is centrally located. I also walked to Nimmanhaemin. I was happy to sit on the terrace in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee while feeling the cool air.

If the establishment is calm and well placed….we suffocate! Breakfast... blah blah. We take it on tables scattered in the yard between the owner's car, the grumpy bulldog and the kitchen. It is only made up of industrial sandwich bread, industrial orange jam and coffee… sock juice. That's all ! But the most disappointing are the rooms: they are a maximum of 15m2 (the photos of the sites certainly taken at wide angle and with reinforced lighting). A single nightstand and a stool for the other. A mattress as hard as concrete. Two windows (which do not open) 21 cm wide (like a loophole) make them almost blind rooms! In short, it feels very cramped and suffocating!
