It is a hotel next to the Mekong River. The weather is good. The rooms are classic wooden houses. But there will be some noise when walking. The room is reasonably wide. But it may look old. Especially the bathroom and towels are already a bit yellowish. Breakfast is considered delicious, delicious orange juice, delicious wet rice and delicious soup. Overall, it's considered good.

The view is beautiful but the bathroom is a bit small. Far from the walking street The entrance is not convenient. Can't find it the first time Stayed in a river view room. It appeared that the accommodation was a raft in the Mekong River. So we got really close to the river.

First lets give some good points. Belle the morning receptionist is very friendly and good at her job. Winai the afternoon and evening waiter tries very hard to accommodate the guests and is knowledgeable about the area. But the room was much smaller than expected, and did not even have a bedside table. The walls are thin and you could hear other guests. The first night was acceptable but the second night at 5pm in rolled a huge double decker tour bus full of elderly Thai tourists. Well they had a gala dinner complete with loud bass thumping music until after 10:00pm. The resort is quite small and the function room they were in was perhaps 15 meters from our "deluxe river view room. Then at 5:30 the next morning they were up eating, talking and loading their tour bus until almost 8:00am. So not much sleep that night or morning. Was shocked to see they could not even cook eggs properly for breakfast which was provided with the room. The hotel has a prime location and has free bikes for your use which was very nice. But there is no way we would go back again.

We are an Anglo-Thai family with a great deal of experience travelling throughout Thailand. We booked a "family" room via Agoda with river view for 2800 THB /night. Not mentioned is that it's actually on a floating raft moored to the river bank. The room was quite cramped for 4 people (it was a standard room with 2 double beds) and the air conditioner was very noisy. The mattresses were hard. There was not much user friendliness to the room. There were no light switches next to the beds and the bathroom door was misaligned and had to be forced shut. Being next to the river allowed us to appreciate the realities of pollution in this part of the world. Breakfast was a fairly disappointing affair consisting of pad krapow moo, khao tom, some thinly furnished noodle soup and some sweet dishes. The fried eggs were, as usual, pretty good (Thailand produces beautiful eggs). The only fruit were the Thai namwa bananas (which are delicious btw). Coffee consisted of powdered nestle with powdered milk. No fresh milk available. The biggest pain point was that the hotel clearly makes most of its money hosting Thai convention attendees. These events generally consist of a group of about 50 (a bus load) who take over the hospitality areas of the hotel. They will have a sit down meal, followed by awards presentations/speeches/merit-making and then followed by extremely loud karaoke and Hong Thong drinking! The hotel had these events booked back to back and, although the attendees were generally very nice people (this group were all teachers) it was still very noisy until about 11pm. The convention attendees were all up sharp at 6 am and swarmed the breakfast area so we ended up getting a table designed for two for the four of us. I think that Agoda (or whichever booking site you use) should make clear that they take these types of guest. Your experience will differ greatly from being a quiet and relaxing one to being a noisy and unrelaxing one. The Agoda rating for this hotel is 8.2. I have a feeling that there is a certain Agoda "preferred partner" filtering going on here.

Booked a family room for a Saturday night in chalet room on Mekong River. A nice modern room with adequate facilities and nice view on the river & Laos on the other side. Very steep steps down & back to the river bank to the room which was a bit difficult for 2 of our party. Food menu a little overpriced with small portions. The hotel doesn't speak much English everything in Thai and also disappointed that they don't take Credit Cards ( cash only ) and had to ask for a receipt. However close enough by car to visit the nice night market / walking street of Chiang Khan and the bars / restaurants there.
