Not for the first time, we had an evening meal in The Bell and were delighted with every aspect of the evening. A friendly reception in a classic traditional English pub. The bar and dining area were relaxed and fun, The bar staff are delightful, as were all of the pub 'team'. The menu is varied and the dishes we had were delicious. Prices are very competitive. An excellent outing.

2 night stay at the Bell. Room perfect for us .Andy the landlord and chef couldn't be more friendly and do enough to help. The food was superb . Super friendly barstaff and some good banter with locals in bar at night. Breakfast spot on with Rich catering for all our needs. Definitely will return . Thanks Andy and team. Mick and Colleen

We went to The Bell to try out the menu which the new chef had created. There were 5 starters to choose from &, as we were a group of 4, we chose a different starter each. The presentation was lovely & they did not disappoint. Empty plates all round. There was plenty to choose from on the main course too. Meat, fish & vegetarian, all cooked to perfection & extremely tasty. Only two of our group had room for dessert. My burnt orange tart with Crème Fraiche was amazing. The Pain au Chocolat Bread & Butter Pudding with home made custard went down a treat too. All in all an excellent meal. We thank chef Lucas & Jack for their efforts in the kitchen. Well done chaps. Mention must also be made of the bar staff who made sure we were well looked after. Front of house, Tanith extended a warm welcome & attended our every need without being intrusive. Wonderful evening.

This was a first visit back in many many years and what can we say. It was a special occasion for us - Andy, Tan and all the staff made it feel special right from the moment we arrived. We have not had such a customer focussed experience anywhere in this country for a long time. The atmosphere, food, service were perfect for a village pub which is not a destination restaurant. Thank you so much and all the very best - we will be back soon. Highly recommended to all locals. Nearby pubs take note…this is how it should be done!

One of the friendliest pubs I’ve been to, great family feel. The landlady and landlord go above and beyond to help and take the time to talk to you, the food was beautiful and plenty of it, and live entertainment from a great band. The room was comfortable and I slept like a log after a fantastic day/ evening. Would deffo recommend to any one wanting to escape and enjoy a night away.

I stayed overnight for the first time bed and breakfast. I was very impressed with the very hospitable new landlords. The village is very tranquil and is ideally located for easy access to Bath, Salisbury, Devizes and the rolling country side of Salisbury Plain with its stunning scenic views across the Wiltshire downs. There is a village shop that sells home made breads and pies which are quite wonderful. Overall I would recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to get away to a peaceful place in a proper old fashioned village and a lovely historic Inn.

Great hosts, very friendly. We loved the fact we could go straight onto the terrace with our coffee. Unfortunately we couldn't sample the menu as we were on a tight schedule, but it looked and smelled lovely. We had the breakfast which was fabulous! We will definitely stay again and eat and drink in their lovely pub, thanks so much The Bell 😁

After rallying around various pubs in the area to find everyone had stopped serving food, I visited this pub yesterday afternoon and although it was very late in the day, the lovely staff rustled up a lovely burger & amazing chips which came with yummy coleslaw and corn on the cob. Lovely quiet country pub and very reasonably priced. Thank you so much guys!
