I chose this hotel based on the location and great reviews. However, the rooms are humid, musty and moldy. The first room had mold on the ceiling and the musty smell was so strong that we asked for a different room. The next room seemed better, but still smelled musty. The carpet felt sticky and damp and the next day we noticed there was mold in the pictures on the walls. We were on the first floor, I’m not sure how other floors compare. During our stay I received a text message from the hotel asking how my stay was going, when I responded negatively and explained why, I didn’t get a response back. Now I’ve looked closer at other reviews and found that this has been an issue at this hotel for years. They are clearly aware of it but haven’t come up with a way to fix it. Everything else about the hotel was great. Acceptably clean, nice pool, decent breakfast, free cookies and water bottles, very friendly and helpful staff. I feel bad to leave a negative review because everything else was great, but the musty smell in the room was so bad I couldn’t wait to check out.
