Yunlu Inn

Inside Pingyao Old City Pingyao|0.85km from city centre
Cost-effective, the location is very good. Very good. Recommended. Very awkward before booking, this time I took the elderly and the children together, the elderly used to come to Pingyao to live in the feeling of bad, this time chose the standard room. It's really the right choice. Less than 200 prices, breakfast included, but you have to walk a few hundred meters to the Pingyao Assembly Hall banquet hall to eat buffet breakfast, it is rich, there are fruit bread, milk buns and porridge, etc., the scenery is good, just after breakfast, go to the literary temple next to it, and go down to the Chenghuang Temple in North Street, County, East and West Street are all in the back door of road repair attractions. After visiting, you can go up the wall from the East Gate, and Kuixingmen is just his inn, in the style street. Note that it must be clear about the location. We thought that the city wall was open and found that some were blocked. Usually from which gate of the North Street, it seems to be the East Gate, go to the Kuixingmen, just down the style street, you can take various photos. We came from Datong evening, saw Pingyao after watching the show, and then went to the East Gate. There are old and small, they sent a car to pick up at 11 o'clock, and the Jia operator told me how to go early in the morning, like it. When I left, there was also a car to go to the East Gate for free. The waiters are very enthusiastic, of course, the facilities can not be compared with four-star and five-star hotels. However, the bathroom also has a dry and wet partition, the biggest drawback is that the bath water is hot and cold, and the daughter has opinions. In addition, at 6 am, someone spoke loudly outside for a while. A little affecting sleep. Worried at night, noisy, non-existent, very quiet. Sleep well. I have time to go shopping. I didn't expect Pingyao Ancient City to be so big, so many good attractions, go shopping at 9 am to 2 pm, that is, go shopping for five A-level attractions, no time.

Outside Pingyao Old City Pingyao|0.76km from city centre
After the trip to Pingyao, I personally feel that it is wiser to choose to live outside the ancient city. It saves the trouble of checking luggage in the ancient city (battery cars are not available on all roads), and it is relatively quiet. Of course, if young people like to go clubbing at night, it's another matter. The hotel is outside the north gate, walk through the lobby to the north gate within 5 minutes. Gucheng South Street is the main street, and business clothes are brightly lit at night and lively and bustling. North Street is relatively deserted, but it takes only 15 minutes to walk from North Street to South Street. It is more appropriate to return from a walk after dinner. Our family of three lives in a triple room. In the morning, the waiter also called us to ask us whether to choose three single beds or one pair, and told us to drive carefully and not to worry. At the time of check-in, there is also a waiter who helps with luggage and informs the travel information. The ancient city of Pingyao needs to make an appointment in advance. We gave us the QR code for the appointment. The operation is a little more complicated. It is recommended to complete it in the hotel. Breakfast is generally Chinese, not hearty, but it’s okay to have a full meal. It is also very rare to consider a three-person breakfast in a triple room. The most satisfying part of this trip is the hotel's resident tour guide, Dong Mei, who is several times stronger than those uniformly dressed. Seeing that most of the tour guides have a weak voice, our teacher Dong speaks very standard Mandarin and has a loud voice, very enthusiastic, meticulous explanation, and cultural heritage. The ancient city culture is introduced from the battery car, and the whole process is full Passionate work, highly recommended. We went to the main attractions with one pass. It is also recommended to visit the ancient city for up to two days. See Pingyao again.

The standard room was 147 yuan. The first day was booked. It was okay regardless of the front desk. After asking, the price increased. I couldn't make sure after calling. The price was reduced after an hour. Finally, I went around and decided. Fortunately, the hotel is not disappointed, the wifi air-conditioning environment is good for bathing, free parking, and a ten-minute walk to the Yongding Gate of the ancient city Living in the city is one of inconvenience, the other is that parking must be overnight in the ancient city and it is 20 yuan during the day, the third is the tide in the ancient city, and the fourth is that I don’t like the bed inside (scared) Tickets for the ancient city can be used for three days, and the small attractions inside can only be entered once. Ctrip 123 yuan (125 scenic spots) to buy children's tickets at the gate, and the scenic spot can be used up to two days at most. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to Yongdingmen from the hotel. Enter Yongdingmen and turn right. There are some historical buildings that are protected and listed. If you are lucky, you can go in and take pictures. Enter Yongdingmen and turn left and turn left on East Street and West Street. There is a snack street. -20 yuan is fine, the sliced noodles will not hit the wall. If the beef canned noodles are delicious, it is worth it. indivual) All small attractions in the city can be entered with a QR code for 125 yuan (the child code needs to be activated at the first small attraction) It is recommended to enter the city and open Gaode to the largest planned walk. I take the s torturing road and strive for one not to fall. The toilet is huge, and the farmer is 2-3 yuan. It’s cheaper to eat than outside the city. The kind of battery car that pays for it is not cost-effective and you will miss the historic buildings. It’s a personal choice. I entered the city on 7.11. There will be light rain, heavy sun, and heavy rain. Please prepare yourself depending on the weather. 10:43---19:45, about three-fifths of the turn (with shared map)

My husband & I stayed at this hotel in Chester on 6-7th Sept. We were originally supposed to stay 4th-6th but due to car problems at home, we'd had to phone on the morning of each of the first 2 days to cancel the first 2 nights. We finally arrived on the afternoon of 6th for what was supposed to be the last night of our original booking. Check-in was friendly & efficient, & even though we'd arrived earlier than the official check-in time, we were immediately checked in with no problems. Even better, when paying we were most pleasantly surprised to find that hadn't been charged for the previous 2 nights that we'd had to cancel....no quibble, no arguments, no question! (I'd naturally assumed that we'd lost that money, which was a couple of 100 quid, especially as we'd only cancelled the morning of the same day we were supposed to arrive, ie less than 24hrs notice!). So we decided to stay an extra night with the saved £££. Our room was nicely decorated, clean, tea & coffee facilities, comfy bed etc. When we left to go exploring, Reception rang my mobile to say there had unfortunately been a mix up with the room, & someone else had actually already reserved & checked into it before us (the Receptionist that had checked him in was a trainee, & had forgotten!). Many apologies on their part, & asked if we minded changing rooms....no problem I said, sh*t happens. Anyway, they moved our belongings for us & informed us that as compensation, we would be upgraded to a suite! Well! It was lovely (Room 220), had a separate sitting room with TV & sofa, bedroom had a mahoosive bed (which was so so comfy), bathrobes & slippers provided, TV also in bedroom, Elemis toiletries. V tastefully decorated, & at the back of the hotel so no street noise. The building itself was apparently built as a hotel sometime in the 1600s so is very old & quaint, it's a beautiful building. The staff are excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast let it down slightly (tho the staff worked very hard & again, were polite & nothing was too much trouble), but there were items missing from the full English (namely beans & black pud), & the continential option was a little limited (eg only orange juice offered, eg no apple or cranberry, no milk options, limited cereals, no jams). You also have to reserve your breakfast time the night before. It's also worth noting that this hotel doesn't do evening meals, though there is a bar & I believe they do do afternoon teas. Tho this is not a problem as there are many restaurants close by. Water fountains are available in the corridors, & a jug provided in your room for you to fill up...much better than plastic bottles of water, it's a great idea. Special shout out to Stephie on Reception, she is a credit to the hotel...helpful, friendly, efficient & professsional with every interaction, she really made a difference to our whole stay. Hotel is a stone's throw from the famous Chester clock, & it couldn't be more central, ver

Oddfellows Chester Hotel & Apartments

Checking in at the main Oddfellows hotel was smooth but it would have helped to have the exact address of the apartment in advance, so we could park more easily. There is one parking space at the apartment but it is a tight entrance! Apartment 5 was upstairs and very spacious. The lounge/kitchen/diner was well set up and the tea and coffee available was very welcome. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, comfy and clean (but could do with a few hooks for towels or coats). There is even a laundry room. Decof is quirky and the location is great - just off the main streets. Fabulous place to stay.
Roomzzz Chester City

What a great place to visit Chester from. We got in early to guarantee a good on-site parking place, and were then met by the most pleasant receptionist. The room (a Smart Studio) was delightful, spacious, clean and modern. The bathroom was excellent and we were very pleased to see and use the walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable, too. The excellent location meant that we walked into the city centre within 5 minutes, but we were far enough away not to be disturbed by late night revellers from the pubs and clubs. Although we were initially concerned at hearing the hourly bell chimes from the racecourse, we needn't have worried, they end at 11pm. The 'quick grab' breakfast suited us fine, not being great fans of the 'full english' breakfast anyway. With so many good eating places within easy reach there was no need to use the excellent cooking facilities. Overall, we couldn't recommend it highly enough. Just what we wanted and at a great price.

We were a group of 10 girls and were assured of 5 twin rooms when one of us rang hotel but this was not provided on check in The bar lacked any atmosphere and staff lacked any personality My friend accidentally knocked over her expensive glass of wine untouched and was not offered a replacement she had to pay again Not an expected response from a big chain hotel On the positive side housekeeping staff were excellent looking after our needs and providing us with glasses and ice buckets as we were celebrating two milestone birthdays Rooms were comfortable and clean and a decent size

Great Hotel, with lovely rooms ( I tad dated for some tastes). Service was first class, with a lovely meal in the brasserie eaten. Breakfast is high standard with good old table service, the brasserie is a lovely room for meals. Wife had a massage in the spa, which was one of the best she had had! Car park near Hotel, cases taken to room, staff very friendly and more than happy to help. Location right in the middle of Chester for close access to shops, Bars and restaurants Only Negative, Breakfast could have been hotter. And added service charges to bill automatically. Drinks are very expensive, but to be expected for a 5 start Hotel
