Brilliant location. Lovely hotel and staff. Breakfast excellent value for money. Would recommend to anyone. And superb pub/brewery across the road is a big bonus. Ideally located for all sights. £6.50 in a taxi from station. Would love to be here on race day.

We went for afternoon tea which I had bought a voucher for my husbands birthday. It was the most tastiest afternoon tea I had ever had. It looked small but we were so full after eating it. It was presented beautifully and the savoury chicken skewers and sausage rolls were warm and the scone was warm. I would definitely go there again. It was wonderful food.

What a fantastic weekend my wife and I had at the Chester Townhouse for my 60th birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived we got the warmest of welcomes and the staff really do go out of their way to make sure you're happy. The rooms are modern and well equipped and the breakfast is simply superb. However, it really is the staff that make this place what it is, so much so that I asked for their names to make sure I didn't miss anyone. So please take a bow Rita, Dill, Lucia, Bex, Nicola and Nicoletta, you are awesome and we look forward to seeing you again!

A small hotel ideally situated in the centre of Chester. The staff were very friendly and the room was very comfy. The attention to detail was excellent. If you have mobility problems be aware there is no lift only a steep staircase. One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in.

What a lovely hotel, got a little lost coming from our room initially as you had to go up stairs to come downstairs Room lovely with a very comfortable bed, little bit of floor creak from upstairs ( but on such an old house to be expected). Breakfast first class. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel only a few minutes walk to town centre. Very nice Italian restaurant just a few doors up. We parked in the Little Roodee Car park just a 7-8 minute walk away, Very good price too £9 from Sunday just after 6pm till Tuesday 1pm.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. The staff were all incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 minutes away from the town centre and everything in Chester is walkable. Breakfast was extensive and very well cooked and presented. The rooms were compact and whilst a little creaky (it's an old building) they were very clean and well equipped. We plan to come back very soon.

Had a very good two night stay at the townhouse, excellent place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely Breakfast and clean rooms. A Short walk into the wonderful city. We will stay here again the next time we visit Chester, could not ask for anything more.

My mum and I visited The Townhouse to meet up with some friends, who were also staying there. We got a fabulous deal through Travelzoo for £99 a night for two, including breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco. I rang the hotel before our stay to request a twin room rather than a double and was kindly accommodated with a triple room. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms nice and quiet. The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. There are nibbles on reception to help yourself to and great amenities inside the room. The breakfast was amazing with a continental buffet and a menu for hot food. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They made our stay very enjoyable and we will certainly be visiting again, even without the deal, as everything about the hotel was excellent!
