Best Hotels near Istalingeshwarar Kovil, Chennai

The stay was best. Our previous hotel was cancelled due to some app technical issue. In rush we booked Al Noor palace. We were traveling with family booked 4 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms here our not so spacious but the in room amenities, ac , tv, cleaning everything was perfectly managed and maintained. The staff was so polite, Mr. Rehman and night staff, the housekeeping, the restaurant person everyone was so helpful. Only one suggestion just try to increase the staff in breakfast timings. Rest We all loved the place and definitely would recommend to our friends and also would come again whenever we visit Chennai. Thanks all for this wonderful stay. Keep up the good work.

We enjoyed our stay. We wanted to have a club feel and went down to the club. They could have played tamil songs, its India and your guests are Indians, playing on and off English songs are fine but Tamil songs would really been better

The price is five or six hundred, living is ok, the service can keep up, the surrounding environment you can imagine, the same. There are no bathtubs, pools are stingy, breakfast is no highlights, and those dishes are suitable for Chinese people. manreal999

We have always enjoyed staying at Taj Coro***del. All the staff have made us feel at home with their exceptional service. The executive rooms and luxury rooms are extremely comfortable. Special thanks to: Shailesh Giri (***ager - Butler Operations) & Jasmin Siddiqui (***ager - Guest Relationsq) who went above and beyond with their exceptional service to take care of our every need. The entire butler team (Bala, Saravanan and Napolean who made sure they went the extra mile at the lounge. The entire Jiva Spa team who made sure we were well rested and relaxed. The entire restaurant and kitchen at Southern Spice team who enticed us with their superb food. The entire Front Office team who made our check-in and check-out seamless. The entire Door*** and Concierge team who helped us with our endless shopping bags. The entire Housekeeping team who did something small every day to put a smile on our faces when we returned back to the room. The entire In-Room Dining team who accommodated our late night food and coffee orders. Overall room was okay. When booking online, the description given was buffet available however when arrived at the hotel, we were informed no buffet of food available at the hotel. They outsource the food from nearby mess. As ours was a group booking, so my payment for the hotel, was done to one person in the group. I noticed the staff at the reception was not bothered at all about the rest of us and only focused on the person who made the payment on behalf of us, when in the fact all of us paid our parts. So, if one person pays for the hotel rooms does that mean the rest of us are not paying or are staying for free?? And we deserve to be treated this way? This is unacceptable. Please train your front desk staff to respect and treat foreigners properly. We are also paying you with our hard earned money. It was so obvious your front desk was showing face to me and I didn't know why they were behaving this way🤷🤷 No one at the front desk wanted to help with my toddlers laundry and stated the laundry collection is only done in the morning and each piece of toddler clothing is Rs60🤷 To the ***agement of this hotel, your cleaners are more respectable to your guests compared to those you put at the front desk. I felt your cleaners deserved tips from me compared to your front desk employees. To those who want to consider this hotel, this is my true personal experience staying for a week at this hotel

Its nicely located in the middle of old town. but this means that the views are boring. i think the hotel is just coming out of covid issues as it is understaffed and most of the resaturants are closed and the food its iffy at best. i spend the the first hour of my stay as they relaced the mini fridge that had stopped wokking and had leaked all over the wood cabinet leading to a stink. next day i spend three hours waiting for maintaince to water proof the bathroom that was leaking into the sleeping area. the third day i had to watch for an hour as the Ac maintaince were trying to repair a leak which had seeped into the false ceiling leading to a new smell. The rooms are nice and spacious. so are teh bathroom but the WC is located in a tiny alcove in the bathroom making it unconfortable to reach for the health faucet. teh towels are clean and the beds confortable. the writing cair and table are well made and teh easy chair is also comfortable even for a big sized man like me. the laundry service is efficient. the complimentary Tata branded tea and coffee is undrinkable, so is whatever brand of creamer they use. i dont undersand why they dont just use amul and nescafe. inroom entertainment is still just basic tamil cable TV. room cleanliness is average with cobwebs on the bathroom sink and tea stains on the floor. again this is due to understaffing and overworking the existing staff. the staff themself is very helpful and hardworking. the restaurant is understaffed but despite this, the staff were helpful and pleasant. and the chef's range is a bit limited. the lobby area is nice and spacious, but the corridors poorly maintained with gaps in the carpets and the floors leading to repeated tripping risks. the carpets stink. the pool on the roof is nice and large but can only be used ealy mornings or in the evenings as it has no awning. I had a pleasant swim one evening and wounddown on the comfortable deck chairs. the changing rooms leave a lot to be desired. the gym is well equipped. they have a spa but didnt have male massuese so could be utilized. but it looked clean and pleasant. wifi connectivity was good through out the hotel and not spotty at all. basically this could be a great hotel if they staffed it well and updated basic infrastcuture and threw out their stinking carpets. But it looks like staff will be made to do more and more with less and less. would i visit again? unlikely.

Ibis is really a nice place to stay. The location is in the city center where you have all easy access to wherever you want to go. The transportation system in the area is very friendly. You can get a toktok motorcycle to bring you anywhere you want to sight seeing.

I had the most wonderful experience at Taj Connemara. Right from check in where my the receptionist upgraded me, to my encounter with Gracy Varghese, who noticed my tired and worn out state and sent me foot bath to my room. (I was so touched I could cry) she was god sent. Cherry on the cake was my dinner at Rain tree. Venky and Arpita ensured I try a bit of everything and not once did they make me feel that I was dining alone on a work trip, Chef Vinod cooked up delicious delicacies and the payasam was out of the world. I am so glad I stayed here, fallen in love with Chennai thanks to the courteous staff of Taj Connemara. Will definitely visit again and come back with family. Highly recommend! ♥️
