Park Plaza Chennai OMR

Superb hospitality. I was made to feel special from the moment I arrived until I checked out . Special thanks to Pandu,Monisha and Pinky on the front desk for always smiling and being patient with me. Also the security guards, so helpful and attentive. Hotel spotlessly clean and modern. Swimming pool is a blessing in this heat. Great location for me to see friends who work at the various techno parks round here. Breakfast good and a varied choice. This is now my go to hotel when I visit Chennai.

I'd never quite heard of this hotel before but I, nevertheless, decided to take a chance anyway and stayed at the Park Plaza for 3 nights (May 2025). While the property is well located and makes a good first impression, the overall experience was quite underwhelming — especially for a hotel that boasts of a Radisson connection and rates itself highly on stars. The entrance is beautifully landscaped, the lobby is spacious and pleasant (though a touch of fragrance would have been nice), and check-in was quick and efficient. The room itself was clean and looked recently renovated, which initially gave me hope. However, I had requested a nice room with a view and instead got one facing a gas cylinder storage area and private homes with clothes drying on their terraces — not quite the view you'd expect from a premium-rated hotel. The bathroom looked aged was most disappointing: the shower head was clogged with calcium deposits, and both the toilet bowl and fixtures were outdated and poorly maintained. Toiletries were quite limited as well. Towels were not replenished after rooms were cleaned (laundry breakdown, i was told) and had to be requested via phone calls to the reception. Customer service was abysmal in the Oasis restaurant where the staff were inattentive and absolutely disinterested. Room service was unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. Food trays arrived without lids, and used plates were left by guests outside the rooms for hours, creating a foul smell in the corridors. Overall, the experience did not match the brand reputation or the star rating the hotel claims. Serious improvements in hygiene, staff training, and attention to guest requests are urgently needed. I would not stay here again unless these issues are sincerely addressed.

I visit the Winchester bar, once a month. The idea is to relax, have some beer & thus take a break from the busy & stressful routine. Ranjith makes sure that I get what I need. Hospitality is not just following a process, it's about connecting and providing individual care.. Ranjith proves he cares and I always have a great time whenever I'm in Park Plaza.

Exceptional service at the lunch buffet. Met Rasika, with her extraordinary smile and dedication to help was the cherry on top for me. Good food, nice ambience, and great staff. Dhana burfi was amazing. Took 8 of them. Thank you for the hospitality.
