Its was mentioned in the booking as free early checkin in available. Even-though there were a vacant room. The front desk executive mr. Mervin denied to give me room. I was travel-ling 6 to 7 hours. I reached the hotel around 4. 30am and he asked me to stay in the reception until 8am. Last time when i stayed in the same hotel. I was allowed without nay extra charge. And this time he asked me extra charge

"third time's a charm at kalyan grand hotel! i recently stayed at kalyan grand hotel, kilambakam, chennai for the third time, and it continues to impress me. This hotel has become my go-to destination whenever i visit vit chennai. The staff are exceptionally friendly and courteous, making me feel welcome from the moment i step in. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, thanks to the diligent housekeeping team. The food at the hotel's restaurant is simply excellent! the variety and quality of dishes are impressive, and the service is prompt. The hotel's location is a major plus, providing easy access to vit chennai and other local attractions. Overall, kalyan grand hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and warmth. The hotel has the basic cleanliness and is cozy. The room service is also prompt. Room size is small but good enough for a business stay. The food quality, taste and spread is also quite good

The staff at reception need to be more punctual in their duty. The rooms are like any other 3 star facility only. Restaurant food is goid. The breakfast spread needs improvement. The bathroom do not have a dryer. The house keeping staff are very good. Since there are no other3 star hotel nearby had to extend stay by 2 more days. The stink of cigarette & beer in the first floor corridor is really nasty.
