A jovial host attended even my early arrival at the quiet property to try arranging a room earlier to make it smoothly. Thanks to him, my trip was immaculate at first time in India also gave rise to an impression of the happiness. Outstanding service humanly!

Cleaning was done very carefully, the bed was very hard, and the gas stove couldn't be turned on by itself.

Awful place. 1.notified accom of arriving a day late and received messages from them saying OK. When I arrived I was cancelled! I managed to book another bed on arrival. 2. Hostel says it has air conditioning. It doesn't mention that it's only on during the evening (when it cools down) otherwise it's 29 to 32 degrees days in an u ventilated room. 3. They lock up most of the hostel during the night and don't give the keys to the night reception. I couldn't retrieve my clothes on the washing line when I left so had to leave them. What happens if there's a fire or another incident during the night.? The receptionist is pointless.

I was staying one night. Overall, my stay was pleasant and comfortable.
Location is accecable to metro and restaurants. and It's a nice quiet place.
The property is very clean.

I had an amazing experience at Hostel Gandhi during my second solo trip to Chennai! The location is perfect, being well-connected and situated conveniently between the railway station and the airport, with a metro stop nearby. The hostel itself is peaceful and offers a great ambiance for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The atmosphere was very welcoming, with friendly fellow travelers and a charming host who made me feel right at home. I loved the three cats that roam the place (except in the rooms) – they added such a cozy, homely vibe to the space. The big parking area is also a plus for anyone traveling by car.
The food served was delicious and decently priced. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend Hostel Gandhi to anyone looking for a comfortable, social, and well-located place to stay in Chennai!
