Came in with no real expectations, as we tagged this stay on to our holiday last minute. But this place really punches above it's weight. It's a clear example of a well managed place coming together into an excellent experience. The rooms are great for a family, the beach is perfect, the food is great, and the staff are just wonderful. I definitely recommend.

Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa, located on the picturesque Pasikudah Beach, is arguably the best beach destination in Sri Lanka. This beautiful, unspoiled beach provided an idyllic backdrop for our family vacation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Maalu Maalu was a special place. My son, who is only 3 years old, was instantly captivated by the beach. The soft, golden sand was perfect for him to play on, and the calm, shallow waters of the bay were ideal for his first experiences with the sea. He spent hours building sandcastles, collecting seashells, and splashing in the gentle waves. The beach was clean, well-maintained, and never felt overcrowded, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children. The accommodation at Maalu Maalu was exceptional. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated in a style that reflected the local culture. The comfortable beds, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers made it a truly luxurious experience. We had a stunning view of the beach from our balcony, which was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. The staff at Maalu Maalu were the highlight of our stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout our visit, they made us feel like part of their family. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable stay. They were particularly wonderful with our son, engaging him in conversation, and making him feel special. The resort offered a variety of dining options, all of which were excellent. The food was delicious, with a wide range of dishes that showcased the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. We enjoyed fresh seafood, flavorful curries, and a selection of international dishes that catered to all tastes. The chefs were accommodating to our dietary preferences and even prepared special meals for our son. We also took advantage of the many activities available at the resort. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing massage at the spa, while our son was entertained by the children's play area and the fun activities organized by the staff. We also participated in a traditional Sri Lankan cooking class, which was a highlight of our trip. The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, and we learned a lot about the local cuisine. The location of Maalu Maalu is ideal for exploring the surrounding area. We took a boat trip to nearby coral reefs for snorkeling, which was an incredible experience. At first I really loved how it looked as I entered and it was a warm welcome.the food was also amazing I really enjoyed the fresh fish.the room we stayed in was also really beautiful and I loved the attic.I also enjoyed the pool and the beach very much the beach was very beautiful.The staff was very friendly and really good service. The spa was relaxing.The animator was really fun to be with he played cricket with us and played some games in the pool these few days we stayed.the animator was really fun to play games with.overall the experience was amazing!

Excellent service, food was actually good but I think it can be better. By the way the best one of the staff was Ruchie and I think he deserves a clap . Also the service was also good but not like Ruchie he is so loving to kids and he played with us cricket,table tennis and CARROM thats why I recomend I would come back to Malu Malu thats why I'm going home and telling my friends to come here too.

had a 1 week Ayurveda treatment and my husband and my 1.5 year old daughter accompanied me and had a wonderful time at the resort. I had a very nice and relaxing holiday at Maalu Maalu. The staff was very accommodating, helpful and did more than they had to. The resort is clean, the beach is gorgeous and the food is excellent. One of the Best Resorts iv been to!! very friendly staff the views 10/10 cant expect better for a time to chill 💯💯 have some relaxing time .. theres Spa Massage .. Richi Animator made the whole experiance wholesome .. staff very helpful Isuru made it even better with helping me out with suprises for the fam!! would recommend over and over again !! Nipon and Ruban the staffs were also very helpful and friendly was always ready to help with any issue or wishes 👍🏽 thanks to everyone who made this stay even better hope to come again sooon!!

The scenic beauty is beyond description. The friendly staff with a can do attitude left no stone unturned to ensure we had a fantastic time. The food was exceptional! We highly recommend this place. Fully worth the money and time and hope to be back soon!

Stayed 3 nights in connecting rooms (2 adults and 2 teens 17) It’s a beautiful hotel with a wonderful view , both at the pool and sea. Perfect and spacious rooms with large bathrooms. Very good service and wonderful food. The beach is beautiful and still with a lot of untouched land. We went snorkeling, water scootering and we tried the spa. You can also use a gym and library/ game room. And what I really loved (travelled a lot) was that this resort was not bigger than it is, quality over quantity. Breathtaking view. A bit to much crows but the hotel did their best. Thank you for everything, we would love to come back.
