Advantages: 1. The room is large and the gaming sofa is comfortable.
2. It is very close to Wuhou Temple and Jinli, just across the road.
3. There are many restaurants nearby, and it is very lively.
4. The store and nearby shops are decorated carefully, and you can take pictures easily.
5. The computer configuration is good, the sound insulation is also OK, and it is quiet to sleep at night.
Disadvantages: 1. I turned off the computer at night, but the headphone light was still on, which I personally feel uncomfortable with.
2. There are not enough games on the computer, and you need to download and update it yourself.
3. Because I arrived early that day, a few hours earlier than the check-in time, I consulted on Ctrip and received a reply that I could check in early, but when I actually arrived at the hotel, I learned that the room type I booked had not been cleaned yet, and I still had to wait until the actual check-in time. In the end, I could only pay extra to stay in a higher-level room.

When I first entered the hotel, I felt there was a bit of a smell, but the facilities and environment were okay. However, at night, there were actually cockroaches🪳. This was the first time I saw one when I stayed in a hotel. Secondly, there was only one lock on the door, and the door had a huge gap. , you can clearly see the inside and outside. I feel that the card can be opened very easily. The peephole is also broken and cannot be closed. The above is not necessarily the same in all hotel rooms, but when I encounter it, I can only say that I don’t believe it. Apart from these, the facilities and equipment are still good. You can choose carefully.

The decoration is distinctive, antique, there are tea sets to make tea, the hygiene is good, the bed is moderately firm and comfortable to sleep. The restaurant on the first floor is also very nice. The hotel is its own independent building. On the side of the road, it can be a bit noisy when you open the window, but it won't be noisy when you close the window. I booked a double bed room. When I checked in at 7pm, I told me that there was no double bed room, so I arranged a double bed. The room is not small, and the price is pretty good. The flaw is that the walls between the rooms are too soundproof, the TV in the next room is super clear, and the sound of people walking by the door is also super clear, which makes people feel insecure. So I didn't live anymore.

I had a great time in Chengdu, and that was partly due to this hotel. Checking was smooth and I like that it's from 12:00 instead of the usual 14:00 around the world. There's drinks/tea in the lobby that is nicely decorated. There are seats outside to hang out if you want to.
The room looks just like the pictures, and has everything you'd need; it's well stocked with snacks, coffee, tea and water. I had a room facing the street and it's nice and quiet during the evening. It's located in a local area, and there's a convenience store next door, and there are a few restaurants, shops and coffee places within walking distance. It's kind of in the middle between two metro stations, both are close enough to walk and it's easy to find.
What made it especially nice for me where the little details, such as a lovely written note by the housekeeping staff adding some tips for the stay, or that the staff rushed over to help me setup the laundry machine and they even brought my self-service laundry to the room after the dryer was finished, so I could carry on with my day and not wait for it, so nice!
I'd recommend this hotel if you're staying in Chengdu, and would definitely return if I'm in the area again.

The decoration style of the B&B's rooms is very elegant and quiet, making people feel very comfortable. The green plants on the walls, Shu embroidery, porcelain paintings, etc. are meticulous in the decoration style. I really like this unique feeling, which will be very touching. The room is cleaned very cleanly, and the stay experience is superb.

Clean and comfortable. Rooms are large and equipped with all the necessities we need. Excellent location, about 10 mins walk to Chunxi Road Station E1 exit. There's also a convenience shop just next to the hotel which opens from 7am to 10pm. We stayed for a total of 7 nights throughout our 12-day trip, and the hotel kindly helped to safekeep our luggage when we went out for short trips around chengdu.
Many thanks to all staffs from Howdy Smart Hotel and we will definitely come back when we visit chengdu next time.

Place (and price) was excellent for my stay tho I must point out that this hotel is not for everyone. First, let me list the good points :- near metro, shops/minimart around the corner, clean, good view of DongMen bridge from window.
Cons:- DON’T choose this hotel if you need ＞10mins to bath in winter or ＞20mins in summer. Water will only reheat after 30mins interval. This is what the red sign is trying to say but it is in Chinese which some can’t read. Bed is hard n singing from nearby pubs can be heard when windows are open ajar.
For a new building, it is not well-maintained but good enough for a temp stay. I stayed for 2 nights

We live on the 6th floor. There is no floor heating on the 6th floor, but the air conditioner is quite hot.
The breakfast is quite rich, including eggs, milk, yogurt, intestines, soy milk, bread, noodles, porridge, stir-fries, vegetable salads, and fruits. It is quite rich.
The service staff at the front desk are very good, and they will solve any problems if they arise.
The transportation is also very convenient. The subway is very close, which is very important.

SShenhai^_^danIt was a very pleasant accommodation experience. This time I brought Xiaobao to Chengdu and spent a lot of time choosing a hotel (see pictures and comments). Some comments said that the facilities of a 10-year-old hotel could not keep up. Later, considering that I was traveling with Xiaobao alone, I chose Diaoyutai (I thought at least the location was good). The first feeling after arriving at the hotel: quiet, clean, sanitary, and enthusiastic. Check-in was very fast. Xiao Wang at the front desk upgraded my room type for free, and provided private butler-style service. The room provided a Dyson hair dryer. I have a lot of long hair, and the hair dryers provided by other hotels are difficult to dry. Book a location in advance to watch Sichuan Opera (4 minutes walk from the hotel). Xiaobao likes to take a bath and play in the water. The cleaning lady also disinfected and laid a disposable bathtub film and then put the water in... There are too many things to say. Next time I go to Chengdu, I will stay in this hotel, which can save a lot of time.

GGuest UserThe environment, hardware, service, and meals are super good. The photo is completely inferior to the atmosphere of the scene. The whole two-day trip, from morning to night, the family is taken care of in every way. The activities are rich and leisurely suitable for parents and children, but it will not be like the noise of children everywhere in the parent-child hotel. Adults and children can be fully relaxed. Deep into nature, adults are healed, children feel the fun of nature. Meals: Even breakfast is a private dish, you must order dinner, and there is a late night gift. Service: It is like going to a friend's house to be a guest, from reception, check-in to leaving, and be taken care of. Hardware: Yuan can say that everything is ingenuity! It's slightly like the style of Six Senses and Menghualu, but it's deep in the bamboo sea and cannot be replicated. It's all built with heart, that is, it's completely integrated into nature and has hard hardware support. The stay experience is very comfortable. Environment: unique, I can say thank you for having such a beautiful small courtyard in such a quiet place ”sit alone in the secluded, surviving and independent!”

DDelboyThis was a first class experience at a first class hotel. Right from the start I was made to feel at home and was allowed to check in much earlier than 2pm which was ideal as I could freshen up before going to my future work place. In addition, complimentary breakfast was added to my reservation which again was a big bonus and the choices were fantastic. The grounds around the hotel are very nice to take a walk and the hotel is very near to many restaurants. The room itself was comfortable and great value for money and even having a bathtub was nice to use at the end of the day. This is a great place for anybody to stay and is family friendly which is convenient to go and see the pandas. All the staff were fantastic but I must mention Paul who really went that extra mile to make stay comfortable and even exchanged his Wechat in case I needed any help. His professional approach and English speaking ability is a great asset to the hotel. I will definitely be returning soon.

JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).

EEmmanuelThe location is perfect. Just a short walk in between 2 metro stations that allow you to connect into 2 Metro Lines. The service is great. Real 5 Star Service especially the Butler service that assist us easily via WeChat. The breakfast buffet is amazing with wide selection of local and western breakfast choice. Staffs are all great and friendly. The room size is huge with a very nice view over the city. Although the hotel is a bit old but we can see that the hotel is well maintained and the amenities they provide is of high quality. One of us got sick with an upset stomach and the Buttler assisted us so nicely and even provided us a meal with room service for the upset stomach. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Chengdu.

Because I always need to find convenient and cost-effective accommodation when I bring children and the elderly. This is the best choice. It is very close to Kuanzhai Alley, People's Park, Metro, Tianfu Square, Taikoo Li, and Caotang. The hotel's eldest sister is enthusiastic. Since my itinerary is jumping and I need to check the physical condition of the elderly while traveling, the accommodation time will change. The eldest sister not only meets all our needs, but also helps us keep our luggage and turn on the air conditioner in advance. It's very heartwarming! This family-style hotel is very suitable for our family travel! I am very satisfied with the service and accommodation! ! !

AAnonymous UserWe stayed here for 4 nights. Overall, the experience here was amazing 9/10, especially with the price and its location. It has got easy access to the metro and bus to airport, tonnes of nice eating spot with just walking distance
Disposable toilet seat cover was to my surprised, as well as the international power points around the entire room. The stuff and cleaners here were absolutely welcoming and helpful too.
However, there were abit of smell in the toilet not sure if it was leftover from the previous people or just the ventilation problem. Although everything looked clean in the room, but we have somehow been experiencing nose allergy every night we come back to the room and turn on the AC. So maybe the air conditioning can be clean more regularly together with the lights cover tat were slightly covered with dust.

JJessyT.Really lovely hostel! The staff are so nice and helpful, and they speak perfect English! They have free events which was fun and an awesome way to meet other backpackers! We stayed in a private room, which was nice! The room itself was clean, stylish, and comfortable. The bathrooms were also nice! Just sometimes no hot water for showering at night. Overall really good hostel, would definitely come back! Oh and lots of good restaurants and convenient stores around.

HHana moriThe hotel name is rather deceiving. When I booked, I thought it was IHG's Holiday Inn, but it's actually not. The location is somewhere in the middle of a village near the airport, but luckily they provided free airport pick up service (For international tourists, it's best to get a local number to call the hotel). Due to construction works nearby, the distance to the airport took longer than expected. But, overall the stay is okay as the room is nice and comfy.
