Benrat Hotel

The hotel is located at a very strategic location and the staff are very friendly. Staff no.1 and no.6 went extra miles to help us on our TaoBao delivery and help us when we need assistance on booking DiDi. The hotel room is very clean and spacious. Come with smart curtain and massage bed. During we checking out, they even gift each of us a cute Panda as souvenir. Will definitely stay here again if come back to ChengDu.

Great location!! There is a walking street just outside the hotel with many stores and cafe. It's also close to Tai Koo Li. The hotel's room is clean and the bed can be adjusted to different configuration for comfort. It also has a vibration massage function. Hotel reception is friendly and helpful and there is free water bottle at the reception which you can take before heading out.

Mixed feelings. On the positive side, the location is awesome, right in the heart of a lively bar street and eateries, which made it convenient for going out and exploring. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-equipped, with handy amenities like a laundry room and gym on the 6th floor. Since it's a standalone building, it also felt more private and secure. However, the service really let the experience down as though the staff were forced to work?! The staffs (except the young man) were unfriendly and reluctant to help. For instance when we had an issue with the aircon which keeps switching off on its own, the front desk staff came to our room with a super impatient look, tried multiple times to troubleshoot the aircon with the AI assistance and just told us impatiently “if we have any issues just ask the AI machine next time” (like obviously we already did and it didn’t resolve the issue? She had to try multiple times too….??) instead of offering real assistance. It wasn’t just a one-off thing either; their overall attitude felt indifferent, even a bit rude at times when we asked about our parcels. Housekeeping was another weak point - towels kept disappearing, water and toilet paper wasn’t refilled unless we asked multiple times. Things have to be reminded or you just have to go downstairs and get it yourself. Overall, Benrat Hotel is a solid choice if you’re just looking for a clean, well-located place to stay and don’t expect any staff service/DIY. If friendly hospitality matters to you, you might want to look elsewhere. You can tell the owner has put genuine care into designing the hotel - the charming decor and thoughtful amenities but it’s just sad that the staff's indifferent service doesn't match the same level of attention and warmth. With just a bit more hospitality training, this could be a truly outstanding stay.

Felt abit disappointed because service is not top tier. As you can see from the images the fridge requires us to plug in electricity (see chinese characters) before it works. we could not find the plug and called the reception. He sounded reluctant to come to the room to help us. I told him we prefer him to setup for us since we are afraid to damage the facility since it was not easy to find the plug. the guy came up with a sour face and he did help us with setup but very cold attitude. oh well... thats your job right...our request is not unreasonable, we also didnt scold him or gave him attitude etc. but why he gave us attitude right? we also enquired where is the post service nearby the hotel and they told us to search using our phone. 😐 but hotel facilities wise were great and cute with the bear designs. hotel staff needs further upskilling in terms of customer service and professionalism. location of hotel is convenient too, it is near many shops, walking distance to chunxi road.

Overall was perfect, alot of food stall nearby hotel. Very convenient and very chill. Will come to stay again when visit chengdu

The best part of the hotel is the customer service. The receptionists are friendly and always ready to assist. The cleaner cleans swiftly after we left the room. Room is clean, toiletries complete, towels thick and fluffy, the bed is comfortable and has massaging option, water pressure is strong, and has air filter. It is conveniently located at the bar street. So much to see and do. But also because of this, it does get noisy. There is a club which blasts music the whole night until 8.00 a.m. the next day. So, you can ask for ear plugs if you want a goodnight sleep.
