Shangri-La Hotel Chengdu

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly across from the beautiful Jinjiang River and the Anshun Bridge-Hejiang Pavilion. It's also very close to Taikoo Li. Stepping into the hotel from the scorching heat outside, we were met with cool comfort and that familiar, pleasant scent. Our river-view room offered an unobstructed view of the stunning scenery outside. The room itself was clean, comfortable, spacious, and bright, and we were even treated to welcome fruits and local snacks – truly wonderful! Although the hotel is a bit older, the service and maintenance are still top-notch. The dinner buffet even includes hot pot, and guests get a discount. The food was delicious, with à la carte options, roast duck, and local specialties like Qiaojiao beef. There was a great selection of drinks, including white and red wines, and refreshing ice cream. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly – definitely worth a visit! Breakfast was also excellent. The entrance to the Rong Restaurant is adorned with numerous pandas, which is absolutely fantastic!

The hotel room was clean and tidy, and very spacious with excellent facilities. Tyler Wang from the concierge team provided exceptional service and even prepared a welcome gift for us. He's truly a hidden gem at this hotel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu, and a big thank you again to Tyler for all his help throughout our stay! Highly recommended!

Shangri-La is always our top choice these days, no matter where we go, and it really was the right decision. It's perfect for families traveling with children. The restaurant there truly represents the local cuisine – we ate at Shang Palace both days and our little one absolutely loved it. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and there was even a nice surprise at the end. We'll definitely keep choosing Shangri-La in the future.

The hotel's location is excellent. The gym is well-equipped and very functional, and the swimming pool is also quite good. The front desk staff provides excellent service, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. The guest rooms are very comfortable.

The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. We booked a family room and even received a huge panda plushie, Dudu! The staff were very enthusiastic, offering to help with our luggage and even bringing it directly to our room. The night view from outside the door was also absolutely stunning!

Facilities: The facilities are a bit dated, but the location is unbeatable. Ambiance: The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated with vibrant flowers, creating a lovely spring-like atmosphere. It really shows how much effort the hotel puts in. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Service: I stayed here once before on a Monday, and the breakfast options were quite limited. However, this time, perhaps because it was a Saturday, the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied! The noodle station offered various freshly cooked noodles like beef noodles, 'wan za mian' (a local specialty), 'dan dan mian', and 'chao shou' (wontons), plus 'qiao jiao niu rou' (a type of braised beef). There was even beautifully steamed egg custard among the egg dishes, and the bread was fresh, with waffles made to order. However, I wasn't allowed to pack a couple of small pastries for my child to eat on the road, which was a bit inconvenient since kids tend to get hungry when they're out and about. I'd definitely stay here again, definitely! Even at midnight, the street downstairs was bustling with activity, full of life and character!

The Shangri-La Hotel, Chengdu has a fantastic location, right next to the Anshun Bridge and Jiuyan Bridge. Xiao Fu, one of the staff members, was incredibly warm and attentive. He arranged a room for us with an excellent view and recommended the executive floor. He also enthusiastically helped us plan our sightseeing routes around the area. The breakfast on the 36th-floor executive lounge was diverse, offering a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and there were plenty of choices for dinner too. The high-altitude night view was stunning. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu.

The software is up to the standard of an old-school five-star hotel, though the hardware is a bit dated. The service is pretty good, and the breakfast is exceptional. Sister Zhang from the concierge even gave me a Dudu panda! The nearby Shui Jing Fang Museum is definitely worth a visit.

The hotel service was excellent, attentive without being overly enthusiastic. It really feels like the management is top-notch, with the solid foundation of a well-established five-star hotel. The executive lounge is definitely worth it. While breakfast doesn't have an overwhelming variety, every item tasted delicious. After booking, a dedicated person reached out to me. Later, I met Ms. Xiao Lu, who handled my arrangements. She was very professional and highly capable. Overall, I was very satisfied.
