It’s my second time here. I saw many complaints about the foul smell because of the renovation in the review section. The first floor stills smells like drainage. But the room I stayed was ok. There was no smell coming from the toilet either. However, there was a crack in the ceiling so the ceiling rock fell down on the bed and was dusty when I entered the room. Also they had the window open - but as there is no web for bug protection - a lot of leaves and some insects entered the room and was on the floor. Overall it was a good stay. However, when I visited here during winter the shower water was hot enough to take a good shower. But yesterday, the water was very cold. And I was already wet to call for help. There was also ********** on the desk but I cleared it away… Still there are alot of amenities and the staff can speak a bit of english.

Location was perfect, just that walkway to lift lobby at ground floor reeked of pee.
Room was ok, basic and spacious. However there were bed bugs and it got quite serious that I had more than 10 huge bites on each leg.
Staff was v nice, pleasant and polite. The coconut milk coffee was a must try

Helpful staff ,you can ask for tour
Best location near exit D
if you have big luggage, you can use elevator at exit C
You can use washing machine only 10Y ,asking reception for scan
If you have plan to other city ,you can left your baggage in baggage room

one day if i come to chengdu again, i will stay at this hostel again.the price is great, near to metro, staff are helpfull.

Pro -
1) Staff are very friendly and helpful.
2) Tourist map is also available in the hostel.
3) The hostel/hotel is only steps away from Xinnamen subway station.
Cons -
1) Location not so good. Need to take subway and not many good food option around like in Chunxi area ( eg., FlipFlop Hostel )
2) The dormitory a**osphere is smelly ( cigarettes/odour), dirty and messy, although the bed unit itself is clean.
3) No towel provided ia a big minus.
There are other better option for foreign tourists.

I like this place. Not in the city centre but plenty of food to eat at the backlane. Right Infront of xinnanmen mrt station exit D. Walking distance to the river with a beautiful bridge.

Hotel room is normal room size for traveller that day time go out and just come back tonsleep at night 😄
Hotel staffs are friendly and negotiatable to have Late Check-out at 2pm as our flight ta 23.20pm.
Hotel surrounded by the local shops and food stalls. Right in front of the hotel building is Xinnanmen metro exit D.
