Poshpacker Flipflop Youth Hostel (Taikoo Li Chunxi Road Metro Station)

The room is small and there is no desk making it very difficult to do anything because everything is on the floor. There are foul smell from the toilet. The hotel location is good and nearby the metro station. However the building is very old. The power sockets in the room no. 304 although plenty but almost all of it cannot be used. Even some of the power sockets in the common area is also not working. Very frustrating when I have to charge my phone and electronic devices. Told the front desk but she isn't responding or do anything.

Very good location in downtown Chengdu, close to food street and IFS. You can find everything here. The rooftop bar is good with nice coffee to order, nice rhyme and chilling vibe. You can relax here all day, rest from your walk around. Compared to the price, it is more than worth to stay if you are a solo traveler in the bunk bed room. There were also some private rooms to book as well.

this hostel is PERFECT for non chinese visitors. everyone in the staff speak english which is not common at all in china and extremely useful. The hostel resembles a lot the nice hostels you find in europe and there is the possibility to leave your luggages for up to 15days. The location is great it's very close to subway line 2 and 3 which can be used to reach the pandas research base. The only downside was that i found some small bugs underneath my flipflop in the shower but there was an extra pair in my room so it was fine.

Nice hotel. Although they had quite a number of outage in water and electricity. I managed to get a private room (which I paid for), and it was very comfortable. The reception ladies spoke perfect English.

The hostel is near station chunxi road metro 🚇 around 500m. The hostel is have elevator 🛗 you can walk to chunxi street or Taikoo Li

I decided on this hotel because I stayed in hostels while backpacking a lot when I was younger and I wanted to check out the backpacking and hostel scene in China. The location was pretty convenient. It’s a small distance away from an MRT station at a touristic area, on a more local and quiet area. The reception all spoke good English and were happy to answer questions about the tours and whatnot. I stayed in a private room for more privacy. It is definitely smaller than a hotel room I could find at the price range but other than that, it was satisfactory and comfortable. Cleaning staff was very polite and friendly. There is a rooftop cafe that becomes a bar at night. That’s my favorite place. The auntie at the cafe was very friendly and motherly and she makes really good coffee. The bartender at night was also super hospitable and chatty, recommending me many great places that I would have to come back to check out nearby Chengdu. All in all, I felt very well taken care of, in a very familiar Asian way.
