"First off it's really important to know that this hotel is actually a community enterprise and not just a hotel! So for a start - by staying here you are actually investing in disadvantaged groups in Cheltenham as well as having an impeccable nights stay. The room was a decent enough size and the bed was extremely comfortable. Two good sized windows meant it had plenty light. The bathroom and the room itsself were immaculate - it was obvious that cleaning was done regularly and properly. The decor is nice throughout the hotel and was a lovely place to stay and have breakfast. The breakfast was served promptly and the menu had good variety. I also asked Sam for some extras due to the nature of my stay and all of them were accommodated and at a reasonable price!!! All in all - it was a great stay and I would definitely book again. Keep it up!!!"
"Stayed for 1 night with breakfast with my son and husband . Had a multiple room ( double and single bed ) .
Room was very clean , good size with a desk and chair . Wardrobe , hairdryer and iron facility. Also good sized Tv .
Bathroom again clean and supplied with towels , hair and shower gel .
The added bonus was access to the fitness suite ( pool and gym ) .
Hotel contained a bar and separate restaurant area . We didn’t have to book a table , we were seated straight away . Food was slightly expensive in price , but adequate.
Breakfast was a buffet , well presented, a variety of choice of cooked and cold choices .
The only thing I would say was a bit of a “ let down” , was paying £7 to park our car in their private car park .
Overall a lovely hotel , to which I would definitely return to !
The Reception lady was also very happy , friendly and chatty 😁"
"Disappointing Room Size
The hotel room I received didn’t match the specifications promised during booking. Advertised as a 26 sqm King-sized space, the room I walked into was significantly smaller (around 20 sqm) —cramped and difficult to navigate, with barely any space for luggage or comfortable movement.
Initially, the service agent insisted all rooms were the same size and claimed I’d been upgraded to a Queen-sized room. They also told me no alternative rooms were available due to full booking.
After nearly an hour of late-night discussion with the on-duty manager—around 11pm—I was finally offered a room that was noticeably more spacious and aligned with my expectations.
This experience highlights the importance of honest and accurate descriptions in hotel listings. I hope future guests won’t have to deal with the same confusion and inconvenience."
"Sending kids to summer camp. Booked two nights in the Ambassador Suite. The hotel is definitely old. The suite is nice. Although it is old, it is well maintained. There is also a bathtub. The service is just so-so. It is only a four-star hotel. You have to carry your own luggage. The breakfast is OK."
"Lovely stay. Complimentary upgraded and breakfast as I am a Platinum Elite Marriott Bonvoy. Spacious room. Great Christmas deco. Staff at check in was very helpful and attentive. He welcome me as an elite member. Breakfast was ok, not excellent. Not much spread. Overall, a great stay for work."
"Had a fantastic one night stay at The George last night. Our room was spotless and full of character. So nice to stay somewhere away from the big chains. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and super helpful - we didn’t get to meet Autumn, the resident dog, but hope to on our next stay. We’ll definitely be back! The Limoncello was also a big plus - amazing stuff!"
"The room is not big, but the service staff is very friendly. The lights are very warm and the bed is very comfortable. It is close to CLC school and just opposite. It is a good place to stay with your children. It is also very close to the store square. It is 20 minutes walk from the cheltenham SPA. Minutes to the hotel."
"The hotel service was good and the staff members were helpful! But somehow my booking via Trip.com changed to ticket.com for an unknowns reason that led to double charge of my booking. In the end, the staff members helped sorting out the issue."

Amazing
GGuest UserVery satisfied. I want to stay in a fairytale town. It is quiet and beautiful. There is no food around. You can only eat in the hotel. But it is very good. Very British. The room is large and very quiet. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserThis was an excellent hotel. Service was great. From James in reception who welcomed us with professionalism and warmth & tips to visit, to the restaurant staff who were helpful and responsive. The chef was great - food was tasty and to a great standard. The housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating as well. We had an awesome and restful stay. Our dog enjoyed the bed and treats as well as walks in the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We will make tgis hotel an regular on our list.
MMarie Francois LouisMy wife and I stayed overnight at Lucy’s Tearoom on 27th June. The welcome was excellent and the room and ensuite were immaculately clean. We had a comfortable sleep with a copious breakfast in the morning. The B&B has no parking facilities but our arrival and departure times suited the parking allowance in the Square/ 2 hrs free parking between 0900-1800h. Had we spent longer we would have had to find other parking facilities.
GGuest UserVery good location in the town, just near the model village, hotel guest can get free tickets for the village.
Breakfast is great.
Staff are quite friendly and nice.
Car parking made a few confused, carpark is very limited at daytime, and you need to pay for carpark for hole day because car park is operated by the same company.
A lot of cute bees flying around the hotel, some will fly into the room, you may need to shut the window…hah!
DDavid WachendorferMansley refers to their properties as ”managed apartments”. There is no on site staff, you check in online and get a single code that gets you into the building, your room, and the parking. They are very attentive during the stay to make sure you know that if you need anything they are a phone call away. I absolutely love this concept! The property itself appears to have been recently renovated and in immaculate condition. The room was stunning. You walk into a living room area with kitchen with soaring 2 story ceilings. The bedroom is an upstairs loft with king size bed. Towels, linens, mattress, coffee service, etc. are all top of the line. The location can't be beat. Right in the heart of town center with everything you could possible need a short walk away. They have a secure parking lot right next to the property as well. I have stayed at all of the trendy hotels in Cheltenham. This is by far my favorite. Won't stay anywhere else when in Cheltenham. Can't wait to try another Mansley property.
GGuest UserThe room has an old house smell that is unbearable. The small air conditioner installed has a very dirty filter and I dare not turn it on.
The front desk staff is not always there, and there is a queue for check-in
The environment outside is very beautiful
GGuest UserGreat location Parking at rear of hotel although not obvious where access to car park is. Lovely cosy and clean room. Grady value for money. Only criticism is there was a very limited menu choice. Lovely breakfast great quality
Can’t fault the service and friendliness of the staff. Will book again but probably eat somewhere else due to limited choice
GGuest UserThe Mousetrap Inn proved to be an excellent choice for our recent getaway. The location is absolutely perfect – just a pleasant walk to the main town, giving us easy access to local attractions, shops, and restaurants while enjoying peaceful surroundings.
What truly made our stay memorable was the genuinely friendly staff. From check-in to checkout, every team member was welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had everything needed. Their local knowledge and recommendations enhanced our entire visit.
The included breakfast was a real highlight and exceptional value. Fresh, well-prepared options with plenty of variety kept us satisfied each morning before exploring. It's rare to find complimentary breakfast that actually exceeds expectations.
The inn maintains a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly matches its charming name. Clean, comfortable accommodations combined with the convenient location made it easy to enjoy both tranquil relaxation and vibrant town center activities.
Highly recommended for friendly service, great value, and ideal location.
朱朱Location is good, very close to the town centre. The English Manor Hotel is very welcoming and comfortable, with a large lawn and wide view. The hotel not only has English billiards, but also a Michelin restaurant, which is very delicious. The rooms are large and tidy, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and the garden is full of flowers. The most recommended is the hotel's own wine, which is very delicious and sweet and sour.
GGuest UserFrom outside looked scruffy and uncared for inside was fine althoug8evening meal was
a little fragmented and confusing not helped by one of the group moving the nameplaces around
Some guests tried it on complaining their food was inadequate but in fact most of us found the food was really nice and to top it top it all we all got a substantial reduction in price. The management redeemed themselves entirely. Would I stay again, yes we would as we think it is a work in progress.
