Travelodge Cheltenham

Stayed for 1 night after attending a wedding nearby, my baby used the travel cot but this needs an additional mattress as the base provided was so thin it was not comfortable at all, this meant we got virtually no sleep and baby ended up sleeping better in the pushchair. Please address this and babies deserve a comfortable night sleep too!

Rooms are a little stuffy, Rooms are clean and tidy bed is nice and comfy, Let’s talk about the real reason for this review and that is solely three members of staff. Dan, Oli and Vijin Absolutely incredible, Their customer service is next Level, I feel they go above and beyond for the customers always smiling always saying hello and goodbye. I Know the manager knows their good staff, but it’s just nice that other people know how friendly the team is, Housekeeping, when I’ve been interactive with them have been pleasant and polite. Car park is large.

I was here for 10 days and hardly had a full nights sleep due to noise. On one night the people in the room above me were evicted in the middle of the night

Finished work and had train delays so looked at the hotel and it was £78 for the night which was fine, booked it or so I thought as mobile ran out of battery, arrived at the hotel to no booking, despite it coming out of my account, argued about this but ended up having to pay £108 so an increase of £30 in the space of an hour to stay. Offered no complimentaries, no breakfast and the wi fi was appalling. Would never ever stay here again although the reception manager was a nice fella called Dan

Great as a stopover but not any longer. The room was small and only had a shower (no bath) and a very small TV which wasn't angled very well to watch from the bed! The beds are small, hard and generally uncomfortable

During my recent stay, I was genuinely impressed by the exceptional level of care shown by Maddie at reception. She demonstrated exactly what true hospitality should look like going out of her way to ensure I felt looked after, even when options were limited. Maddie handled the situation with calm, kindness, and a level of attentiveness that made a real difference to my night. It’s clear she genuinely cares about guests and brings warmth to the role that isn’t easy to find. She’s a real asset to the hotel professional, thoughtful, and someone who represents the brand to the highest standard. I hope her efforts are recognised because she made my stay feel personal and supported in a way that truly stood out. Adam Berry
