Pleasant Bay Village Resort

This was by far the nicest place I've ever stayed. I travelled with 2 friends and we stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage. Everything was so clean! The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were very nice with wonderful showerheads. There was a nice kitchen stocked with dinnerware and cooking equipment, a dining room with a beautiful large table, a comfortable living room, a raised deck area with patio furniture and a front sitting room with windows or screens for letting in the breezes. And the grounds were AMAZING! Gorgeous landscaping including a wonderful variety of trees and flowers, a serene Koi pond and some lovely waterfalls. All of the staff members were so nice. Oh, almost forgot the beautiful heated pool and hot tub! Each morning I'd get up early and take a mug of coffee with me as I walked through this peaceful resort. It felt like heaven.

Living only 2 hours from Cape Cod, we've had a number of years to vacation down at the Cape, and we've been able to enjoy most all the Cape has to offer. Or at least we thought... then we stayed at Pleasant Bay Village! The moment we pulled into the property and got of the car, we were met with tranquility and serenity (even with two kids under 10!). Check-in was a delight and the staff was exceptional in just the right way... From free fish food for the kids to feed the Koi in the beautiful Koi pond to the complimentary pool towels and consistent friendly staff. Our room (one bedroom cottage) was exceptionally clean with a fresh and 'like new' interior and decor. Internet was good, a bit slow for 2 streaming kids and 2 remote working parents to be able to use video on zoom, yet we were able to stay connected without issue. The grounds are straight out of a magazine and typify the 'zen' nature of a Japanese Zen garden. Quiet, serene, beautiful and meticulously maintained. Every single tree and plant is and were being pruned with great care. It is very clear the proprietor takes great pride in their resort. The heated pool was welcomed, especially with the cooler June ocean air. With the hidden ping pong and shuffle board areas, we felt like like we were on a scavenger hunt of the most delightful kind. Tucked away in the beautiful and upscale Chatham area, this respite is a hands down a #1 winner in our book (despite the impressive and more costly nearby hotels) and we'll happily choose to stay here vs anywhere else on the Cape as we continue our tradition of Cape summer escapes.

Great place to stay in Chatham. This was our second time there, the first being in 2010. Both times were a real pleasure. The room is plenty big, very comfortable beds, meticulously clean. The grounds are so nicely designed and very unique. Staff is super friendly. Great for couples, families, really anyone looking for something special. We would definitely stay there again if we are back in the area.

Great family resort! Pride of ownership is evident from the staff via the beautiful grounds, great breakfast and lunch service, and excellent housekeeping. Make sure you say hello to the gentle giant Newfoundland, Buddy, in the lobby! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I were thrilled to get a last minute reservation at Pleasant Bay Village just outside of Chatham for Columbus Day Weekend! We brought our dogs and had a wonderful room with a deck enclosed by railings for the dogs to lay on while we relaxed in the lounge chairs with a beautiful view of the gardens! The bed was very comfortable and everything felt very new. The perfect Cape Cod get away, great location to everything we wanted to do while we were there. Such a calm place to call home for the weekend with great responsive guest services!

Top to Bottom the best Hotel experience I’ve had in my life. Everyone made us feel like family from the second we walked through the door! 1,000 Star review. The place is immaculate and meticulously manicured and curated in and out. Every detail attended to. Oh!! How were the pancakes and breakfast sandwiches??? AMAZING. We hugged Johnny (the best) when we left. We were there for 48 hrs. Crazy.

This property is beautiful! It's extremely clean and quaint. Very private and peaceful but close to everything. We loved everything about it except for the uncomfortable bed. We were so disappointed because everything else exceeded our expectations. Honesty, this was the most uncomfortable bed we've slept in that we can remember. We travel frequently and usually bring our own pillows when we can. The bed in our room 115 was far too soft and the right side as you're facing the bed dipped to the right. So, when you're laying down, you almost feel like you could roll off the bed. Sadly, our last night left us unable to sleep at all, so after tossing and turning for a few hours, we decided to just leave rather than torture our bodies one more night. We packed up and started our 4hr journey home at 12:40am. It was a bit rough, but worth it in the long run. Now to see the chiropractor - not kidding! Fix the beds and we'll definitely be back! Loved room 115!

Beautiful, clean rooms and quiet, peaceful property. We didn’t mind being at the resort in between our other activities. It was nice to walk around, use hot tub and play ping pong. All the staff was helpful and friendly.

Nicely appointed clean rooms, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, a good value, amazing showerheads and delicious blueberry muffins! About 3 miles from downtown Chatham so you need to drive to town. If I could improve one thing it would be the mattresses, they were a bit hard for my liking, but that just may be a personal preference. Would recommend and stay here again!
