My family came up from the south and south Yorkshire for a family reunion, on what was the worst day 7th December the weather was awful they tried to phone the vine yo say they were here in Chapel but would be checking in late as I'd prepared a family meal, but the phone was off the hook,at 8.30 they went down to the vine to find it in darkness no bar open nothing final a girl came to the door and told them it was a good job they came when they did as she was going home.Although the rooms were clean this is not the way to run a business they couldn't get a drink from the bar or any food should they have wanted any I would not recommend them to anyone.

When we arrived we tried to check in but there was no signs to check in. The room was clean BUT the toilet was leaking with water, the shower is too powerful as the water goes onto the floor. The shower doors don't fully shut the sink had a shelf above it but hard to burst teeth and easy to bang your head. The car park was nice and specious but it was pay and display, but if you're thinking of staying you don't have to pay for parking. The advert for the hotel stated that it was free wifi but there wasnt any avaliable. If you want a good night sleep well good luck because the bed was rock hard and if you do happen to like the bed you'll be woken up due to people slamming doors at night or you'll hear the pub down stairs raving. Then if you want a cold drink of pop at night well good luck because there isn't a fridge. And no staff around but it was okay and this hotel isn't for us.

Be careful when you book this prisony looking place its all not what it seems, as far a I am aware its run by a bunch of scammers and thieves! My boyfriend and I were looking for respite of a few days away as my dog has recently died and Ive been through a bad time going through a divorce, i noticed this place was a cheap getaway for 3 nights, so I booked it. Then about an hour after I booked this, my boyfriend texted me to say that he`d found a hotel on Skegness beachfront for a bargain price and had booked it, unbeknown to me! So I immediately cancelled this "Vine" hotel, then I suddenly realised that they had taken the full payment of £180 for the 3 nights!!, it came up red on my phone. Totally devastated, i felt sick, I finally got through to *********** who had advertised the hotel online, and told them of my predicament, they said I should be able to get the cancellation refund back , they were very kind and considerate and kept trying for me, and they emailed the hotel as they failed also in trying to get through to speak to somebody for help and advice. This property`s landline was ringing no reply over and over again, and also the mobile number went through to an answerphone of someone called "Mackenzie" , I left numerous messages to try and explain, leaving me very frustrated, Im still trying 3 days later. This is terrible customer service and it looks like ive lost my money, for good, as this hotel gives you NO SUPPORT., OR NO CONTACT. A warning to others, as I`m still feeling hurt as they havent even bothered to get back to me, Its taken away the shine to a few comforting days away, as Im out of work at the moment, and will never get the money back. Surely they cant be treating all their customers like this, i cant imagine what its like inside the place with no customer care, in the meantime, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, spend your money somewhere else.

Called in for food, the availability of which was conspicuously advised outside. Dutifully paid for car parking (really!) on the basis that we would get the money back as we will easily spend greater than the £20.00 minimum spend to get the fee back. Paid up, we went in, only to be told that the kitchen was closed, so no food. We could not stay as we had a hungry child to feed so I asked for the car park money back. The otherwise helpful member of staff refused unless we spent the £20.00, which obviously wouldn’t happen as their kitchen was closed. I was less bothered about the cash than the fact that they wouldn’t refund the money when they were not willing to provide the advertised product. Unforgivable.

We’re regular visitors to The Vine for Sunday lunch or Dinner. The food is always excellent quality and there is plenty of it on the plate. It’s a lovely relaxed environment, looking forward to the winter and the real fire. Staff are helpful.

We have been here before yet not had the carvery. This time visiting chapel with our doggie we had the carvery…… it was absolutely delicious 👌 Had lots of carveries over the years, but by far this was the best. And the staff are all so welcoming and lovely too. Definately worth a visit wether passing by or making a special trip just for the carvery.

Room very clean and tidy bed was comfy , negative the walls are very thin you can hear people talking in the next bedrooms and hear people snoring , you get free parking and can come and go as you please , we stayed on a Saturday night and they had karaoke in the bar , we ordered food which was very basic , staff were friendly
