The Grand Hotel

Far too noisy,I was woken up constantly by people in other rooms all through both nights I stayed,which isn't ideal when your there for work and not a night on the drink.

A lovely hotel that i do not understand how so many bad reviews have been left. Staff very helpful and efficent, room spotlessly clean, toilet rolls with spare. White as white clean towels and bedding. Extra pillow in cupboard if needed bycott the bad reviews. Incredible at such a low price. Thank you for our stay will be visitng again

Firstly the payat hotel option for this hotel is not true. We received a text message 4 day before with a payment link stating if not paid within 24 hours they would cancel the booking. Will never stay at this hotel again. Stayed friday to sunday and noticed friday night the tv was broken. I reported this to the staff on Saturday morning and was told they would go into the room and check. After checkout we received a bill from the payman club who owns this hotel for a broken tv. I explained what happened and thee hotel staff said noone spoke to them and that it was all ok when we got into the room. This has caused serious stress and is still ongoing due to the hotel staff being dishonest and quite frankly lying about it.

The hotel is good with comfortable facilties in the room for a reasonable price. I feel for the owners as they are clearly trying hard to ensure good behaviour of guests with strict rules about bringing alcohol onto the premises etc... Unfortunately, there were a handful of scumbags staying there last night making a racket, shouting at each other, and walking around the corridors banging on guest's doors. I guess the problem with delinquents like this is when they read a warning, they see it as a challenge to rise to! Hopefully last night was an exception rather than the norm, as I would like to give this hotel another chance next time I'm here on business.

Good service when an issue arose with the room. Attentive and dealt with within minutes. Very happy with the room and location. Good stay overall

The reception is not manned adequately. We run out of toilet paper and when I went to reception to ask there was no one there. The room is not cleaned daily

The moment we opened the door , beautiful little balcony, couldn't fault the place , very comfy stay.... wish there was breakfast!!!

Arrived at the property at 10.30pm no receptionist to greet us and tell us where our room was. The bedroom key was in a lock box outside the property and the numbers had been rubbed of the lock box so struggled to see the numbers. Hallways looked like they had not been cleaned or hoovered in months, hallways also smelt of smoke. Had to go on a hunt to find the room, there was no signs to say which way the rooms was. Stairs doors not labelled. Eventually found the room after 10 Minutes of looking. When inside the room found that there was next to no toilet roll, no sugar, 2 pots of milk. Bathroom shower tray was grotty and there was next to no water coming out of the shower head, bed was uncomfortable, pillows terrible, bedroom window does not close, black hairs on the bedding, black marks on the bedding. There was people shouting and screaming all night from when we got there and then someone above us was drilling and banging until 1am. There is a sign saying keep the noise down but that was definitely not the case. There was nobody there this morning to speak to about putting in a complaint. We did not feel safe in the room at all.

No light in toilet had to use phone light .no contact available for problems, room door didnt closes and latch to fire regulations
