Hotels in Hanwen Temple/Taifo Hall, Chaozhou

A friend from Shantou came to Chaozhou for a visit and decided to stay overnight. At about 10 o'clock in the evening, he hurriedly booked Apartment 2808 on Ctrip. Unexpectedly, the apartment manager was also enthusiastic and diligent. He assured us that we could check in in 10 minutes. As soon as we entered the apartment, we were full of surprises. The kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, and Gongfu tea set were all available. The room was tidy and clean, and even the bathroom was clean and reflective. The bathroom was fully equipped with disposable toiletries. The home hardware was purchased from big brands with quality assurance, such as TOTO's bathroom. His mattress was actually a Slumberland mattress (PS: soft and comfortable, the experience is simply too good to sleep)... When I got up in the morning, Chaozhou was still raining heavily😂, but I also saw a different rainy scene of Guangji Bridge through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the apartment. The misty Guangji Bridge was like a landscape ink painting with heavy makeup and light makeup, which was also an unexpected gain😄

Stayed here for two consecutive days. Although I couldn't book the same twin beds, the big bed was also very good. There was a bathtub. I walked all the way to Guangji Temple yesterday. . . Soak in a bubble to relieve the pain~ There is not much itinerary arranged today. I had tea with the boss in the lobby. Chaozhou tea is really delicious~ The day before yesterday, I didn't get the bracelet from Guangji Temple. The lady boss lent me a motorcycle. I went to a meeting in 40 minutes in the morning and successfully got it~ I believe it will be better after the main road at the door is repaired.

Facilities: Excellent and very new. Cleanliness: Spotless! I even told the cleaning staff it was clean enough, but she clearly has incredibly high standards for herself. Ambiance: Very pleasant, a quiet oasis tucked away in a bustling neighborhood. Service: I was quite annoyed with the room key issue. We were staying for consecutive nights, and after a tiring evening exploring the night market, we returned to our room on the sixth floor only to find the key card wasn't working. I sent my child to the front desk to get it reactivated. She came back saying it was fixed, but it still didn't work. I then had to go down *with* my child myself to the front desk to ensure it was properly reactivated before making another trek back up. It was genuinely exhausting. Suggestion: It's quite inconvenient to have to reactivate the room key at the front desk when extending a stay. Most hotels allow guests to simply continue using their existing key without this extra step. I hope this process can be improved, especially given how busy the elevators already are.

The hotel recommended by local friends is right by the Han River. You can see the boundless river view through the window of the room. At night, you can directly see the illuminated Guangji Bridge, with a wide view. The river bank is right in front of the store. It is very comfortable to take a walk in the morning and evening. It is also very convenient to take a taxi. It takes about ten minutes and ten yuan to go to places like Chaozhou Ancient City. It is very cost-effective. The room is fully equipped with facilities, and the shower, toilet and bedroom are separated. There is a laundry room on the 3rd floor, which is equipped with washing machines and dryers, which is very convenient! There are also various supplies that can be provided, which is very considerate.

The accommodation is located next to the Jinshan Bridge. The ancient city is across the bridge. You can see Guangji Bridge from the hotel rooftop. It is 1.5 kilometers to Guangji Bridge on this side of the hotel. In front of the hotel is Huanjiang Greenway. Below is a wetland park. The park is not big and suitable for a morning walk. There is a market behind the hotel with many braised ducks. The Jiazhao sashimi downstairs is also good. Friends who like raw marinated food must go to Fengchun white porridge. Highly recommended! The hotel environment is worthy of the price of 99, and there are two dinners, which can be said to be super value. The breakfast rice rolls are not bad. If you are particularly picky about the environment, you can go to the Linjiang Hotel next door. 😅The price is here, don't be picky.

An absolutely stunning stay! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and truly five-star. Staff were immediately on hand to assist with luggage, and during check-in, they offered excellent local dining recommendations. Traffic was a non-issue as the staff proactively offered electric scooters for exploring. EV owners will also appreciate the two slow-charging stations available on site. The overall decor was incredibly distinctive and beautiful; the thoughtful attention to detail was evident everywhere, from the potted plants to the arrangement of the plush toys in the room. Our room even featured a slide – what an incredible, delightful surprise! Another thoughtful touch was the provision of steam eye masks, a true godsend for anyone who, like me, relies on them but forgot to pack one. Service responsiveness was top-notch. When I struggled to cast to the projector, staff immediately came up to assist, even helping with the WiFi settings. And the coffee served in the first-floor lobby was excellent! The only minor drawback was that the entrance was a bit tricky to locate; we had to circle around a couple of times before finding it.

With a family of 5, it is relatively new, and the in-laws and sons are very satisfied with the mattress. The open kitchen and the second bedroom balcony can see the river view of Guangji Bridge. The light show at night (about 10 minutes each time) can sit on the balcony and take a look from afar. Closer to the east gate of Guangji Bridge, you can also see the building on the bridge. It takes 10 minutes to walk and about 7 minutes to walk from the Taifo Temple.

The location is excellent, on the Han River, close to Chaozhou Ancient City, the park in the middle of the river, and Guangji Bridge. It is also very convenient to go to Han Shanglou for morning tea, check-in and check-out are also very convenient. The room is also very thoughtfully decorated, with disposable bath towels and toilet seats provided. Most importantly, there is a washing machine with a drying function. For us who drive all the way with our family, it is very convenient to wash clothes on the road! In addition, the upstairs and downstairs are also well designed. In addition to the existing large bed upstairs, there is actually a pull-out bed that becomes an extra large bed.

The room was quite large, considering their system, but the lighting was rather dim, with only one row of lights. I chose this hotel because of the parking compared to the one in the old town. I happened to see a large group of creatures strolling through the street in front of the hotel. I'd heard they were quite large, and it was quite scary. Fortunately, I didn't see any in the hotel. Breakfast was almost 10 am, and there was only porridge. The soy milk and milk were all gone. The coffee I made in the thermos was also gone.

This was my first time staying in a loft, and I was thoroughly impressed. The unit was spotless, and the in-room washer-dryer was an absolute lifesaver – our wet swimsuits were perfectly dried and cleaned. My little one particularly enjoyed it, having their own cozy corner, and the bed was comfortably spacious.
