Within easy walking distance of the town centre, close to the Old Port area and lots of great eating places. We stayed for two nights and found our room very comfortable with a very groovy bathroom! We were able to leave our luggage at reception before checkin time which freed us up to do some early exploring. The friendly man at reception gave us some info about restaurants etc. We got a bit caught out with siesta time - reception is closed for a few hours but it didn’t matter.

The location of the hotel is great value for money as it is nice and close to new chora beach and relatively close to the main town where all the action is. The rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and the overall stay was pleasant. I would come back in the future.

This hotel is just far enough away from the hustle n bustle of the main restaurant drag at Nea Chora beach. A family-run hotel, which also feels like that in the best possible way. Charming owners and staff. Rating is 2 stars but we would give it 4: A/C, every day cleaning service, immaculately clean rooms with little balcony, breakfast area is a little oasis on the top floor, supermarket 50 ms away, beach 3 mins away, old town a nice 15 mins walk along the seafront or across the very atmospheric residential area. We enjoyed it so much, we are already thinking about going back next year.

This is a perfect hotel for adults. Amazing and very helpful staff and owner. 5 minutes to the beach, restaurants and only 10 minutes to port and old town. Silent street. Hotel with lift. Fully recommend! We were here 10 days and we will back..

We highly recommend the Ideon hotel. We received wonderful service, the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and updated. The hotel is very close to Nea Chora beach. Neo Chora is a nice sandy beach with a number of great restaurants. It is also about 10 minutes away from “Old Town” which is loaded with restaurants and shops. This was one of our favorite places of the trip. Overall the Ideon Hotel was a great stay and certainly one of the most welcoming and helpful hotels that we have stayed at while visiting Crete.

Had a very relaxed week in Chania. Transfer to and from the hotel arranged through the hotel Check In of the hotel was easy. Rooms were clean nicely decorated and of a good size. Comfortable bed and good air-conditioning. Nice little balcony area looking onto a quiet street. Everything you need in the room: fridge, hairdryer, TV and WiFi. Only thing that lacks is English TV channels I think we found only two. For us not a big deal but would advise to bring firestick if your thinking to have some nights in watching TV. Nice terrace area on the 3rd floor that you can use to chill out also they make breakfast there. All staff friendly and welcoming answered all of our questions. Adviced of trips but no pushy selling. We went during heatwave so decided to stay in the local area. Perfect hotel, excellent location

Stay at Hotel Ideon for 5 nights in what I describe as a nice quiet family friendly hotel owned by Tony and Theresa who were very friendly and helpful. From checking in to giving you recommendations, they gave excellent service. Room was lovely, cleaned every morning, breakfast was good. One evening I asked for coffee and the owner opened the bar just to serve me a coffee, when the bar was closed due to it being quiet. I would hopefully come and stay here again next time I come to Chania and recommend Hotel Ideon to anyone just coming for a few nights stay in a lovely city.

I have just returned from a long weekend in Chania. Everything about this hotel was excellent! The owners were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were modern, well-equipped and very clean.. Breakfast was taken on a lovely terrace and the position of the hotel is ideal both for the beach at Nea Chora and for visiting Chania harbour and Old Town..It takes about twenty minutes to stroll there and is a nice walk. If you want to book an excursion, I suggest you book it directly with the hotel. We did and we got a lower price than the one offered in the town centre.. I would certainly return to this hotel and thank the owners for their kindness. Keep up the good work!

La posizione dell’hotel è ottima. Il personale è gentile anche se non parlano benissimo inglese. Stanze pulitissime e nuove. Note negative: La colazione è a pagamento e il parcheggio non è privato e difficile da trovare (strada per parcheggiare in foto)
