Chania Hotels with Gym

We visited this well run hotel - 19th - 27th September - all the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room 406 was very well appointed and bed very comfortable. Airconditioned which we used when the nights were hot. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The hotel is in a good position, just moments walk to the Old Town, and a 12-15 minute to the nearest beach. Breakfast excellent choices of hot & cold food, with local selection of cakes, savoury and sweet Cretin pies. Local selection of bread and large selection of unusual jams and breakfast spreads. I would like to thank personally Nikos (Food & Beverage Manager)- for his friendship and ensuring that our breakfast meal was being enjoyed. He spoke to us personally each morning and he gave us some good information of places to visit outside Chania. Also I would like to thank - Emmanuella (Front of House- Reception)- again her friendship and she would also talk to us every time we passed the front desk. She again gave us very valuable information of places to visit, and organised taxi's and booked a day-trip by coach and boat. Emmanuella was again very polite, helpful yet professional, and helped make our holiday most memorable. A big thank you also to Necteria (breakfast server)- every morning she spoke to us, and remembered our breakfast order, she was so kind and helpful. We would certainly return to Samaria Hotel, and would recommend without hesitation - we have some lovely memories. Hotel has a good swimming pool,

Great hotel in central location. We were on the 5th floor which meant we had a great view of the sunrises/sunsets. Friends of ours were on a lower floor but unfortunately their balcony faced another building so they didn’t get a good as view, so if you want a good view definitely try to book the higher floors. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times including a 24/hr reception and security and as a group of girls travelling this made us feel much safer. Our booking agency forgot to inform the taxi agency of our pick up from the airport so we wanted to make sure we avoided the same issue upon departure. The hotel very kindly helped us sort this out and spoke to the taxi agency in Greek which made booking the car much easier. Housekeeping staff were also very friendly stopping to say hi whenever we walked past. Breakfast staff were also very helpful, as soon as we sat down we were offered tea and coffee and if they can get us anything and done so with such a big smile on their faces. Only notes I have is that there wasn’t a very varied option at breakfast so for anyone with dietary needs this should be noted and unfortunately no swimming pool. Upon seeing the size of the hotel I do believe they could fit an indoor swimming pool.

A lovely hotel along with really friendly and helpful staff. I sometimes have found the good customer service in Greece can be a hit or miss affair but not so at the Kriti hotel, they always had a friendly hello and eager to help. I never saw the cleaners but they did a brilliant job. We had complimentary Raki, bowl of fruit and two waters which was a very welcome and nice touch. Breakfast was amazing every day and the fresh orange juice is something I will miss. I'm still a little disappointed by tea but I don't think I've ever had a nice cuppa while in Europe, need to start bringing my own tea bags lol. We never had room service or drinks from the mini bar despite them being reasonably priced, (1.50 euro for water, which isn't far off market rate) To be honest I'm always confused why hotels put such a large mark up on drinks in the mini bar compared to a corner shop because surely they would have more sales if they just charged a market rate. The hotel is really well located, 10 minutes from the harbour and 100s of places to eat and 10 mins from a beach. However I do think the beach being labelled as a beach is bit of an over statement. It's roughly 75 metres long and about 20 metres in depth from the harbour walls. There's plenty of places to swim however with showers and the waters beautiful. If you want a proper beach it's 25 minute walk to one in chania or a 10 minute but journey from town to sunset, iguana or golden sands beach on the number 21 which runs every twenty minutes and costs around 1.60 each way. The hotel is located slightly outside the hustle and bustle of the main port which increases it charm. Good to sleep but really easy access to the area. All in all a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thankyou

i came here with my boyfriend for a week in june and had such an amazing time. the rooms and facilities were clean, all the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. the breakfast was really nice and the bar service to the pool was a great bonus. My boyfriend and I are only 18 and 19 and were probably the youngest couple there, but we did not feel out of place and there was still plenty to do in the town of chania. the harbour is incredibly lively and exciting- we spent most our nights here. we also saved some money due to free shuttle to and from the hotel which ran up until 12pm - we only needed to pay for a taxi once when we had one late night. would totally recommend this hotel. the restaurant was also delicious on the night and the views/ sunset were incredible. thank you so much royal sun for making out first holiday together so special!!

thank you for a pleasent stay, upgrande of our room and gluten and lactose free meal supply. Animators Carla and Lauda were our favourite ones and our daughter talk about them even we already returned back to home. For her absolutely fantastic holiday. I can´t also forget to mention the Magic Circus Show and the French protagonists. They makes their job so profesional and makes the people smily and happy. That was absolutely good choice of the hotel managers to choose them !! Fingers up who sign them. From our point of view everything was fine. We stayed in this hotel for four nights approaching mid-May. The hotel has we believe 35 rooms and opened on 15 May 2021. It has six floors and is situated on one of the main routes into Chania. It is sleek, well appointed, with a pool, with a functioning spa and a bar and restaurant. It is supremely modern – and everything works! We flew to Chania and a taxi from the airport should cost €23.00 – check before hiring! There is a bus from the airport but we felt the bus station was too far to walk with luggage. We cannot comment on connections with ferries. The quality of the hotel is evident as soon as your taxi pulls up. Reception has dedicated soft seating and is a large area looking onto a grassed deck around the pool, with loungers and deck-chairs. Beyond reception and on the same floor level there is bar which serves snacks, lunch and dinner, but from a short menu. It does not provide fine dining. There is an outside seating area that is under cover. On the floor below is the breakfast room – it is quite large and again has an outside, under cover seating area. Breakfast is a self-service buffet with cooked food available – the kitchen is open to view. The selection is extensive with both international and Cretan dishes, and whilst for vegetarians a little limited we still felt well served. The hotel is five minutes’ walk from the eastern end of the seafront which is lined with bars and restaurants and the furthest end (the Venetian Port) could be reached within a 20 minute stroll. The lack therefore of an extensive dinner menu is no problem. Our room was modern and slick, generously sized with a larger than normal double bed and good quality linen. There was a sofa and workspace. There was a full room width balcony looking out but not directly on to the seafront. Wi-Fi was OK. The bathroom and WC were separated from the bedroom by an elaborate screen. The wash hand basin was separate from the shower which was a reasonably sized walk-in. The WC was entirely enclosed but relatively odour free. It did, however, have an “interesting” door that we were unwilling to shut for fear of being unable to open and sensor operated lights and fan. All-in-all however – apart from an initial problem with hot water – everything worked. Toiletries were acceptable. There was a safe, a mini-bar with complimentary items and tea/coffee making facilities. We experiences no significant noise from either inside or outside the hotel. Housekeeping was acceptable with linens changed every two days. The aircon/heating was very effective – complicated, but with clear instructions! The room had widescreen television and a streaming service but we used neither. Staff were friendly and helpful, most with a good grasp of English. The hotel appeared equipped to deal with guests with limited mobility. We saw no evidence of the hotel taking groups. The aparments are 10 min walk away from main town and 5-6 minutes from the beach. There are lots of lovely cafes nearby for breakfast. Although called an apartment there is no kitchenette to prepare a small meal- just kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Maybe I should have checked what all was included in the kitchenette before booking. We didnt have a great experience the first 2 nights as the AC wasnt cooling in our bedroom and we were prepared to check out instead of ruining our holiday but were offered a different apartment where the AC worked fine. The basement parking is quiet convenient. The cleaning team does a good job as we had flies in our shower (in the second apartment) and they cleaned it well each day. Over all, an ok experience but I wouldnt be rushing to book it again.

We visited the Halepa hotel after a long time again. The property has now been partially upgraded. Some rooms have been refurbished to a more modern touch, there is a fully functional Gym and a sauna, even an electric car charging station. The roof garden is being used as a relaxation area with a whirlpool. All in all, the hotel has not lost its touch at all! The friendly staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests, and nothing is too much trouble. For me, the hotel's highlight is its location. It is close enough to walk into Chania center, and away from all the noise of the city. The area is full of old charming houses, and in close proximity you will find the house of one of Greece's most longstanding politicians, Eleftherios Venizelos. We definitely will visit again!

I had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Chania Flair! After being greeted with a cold towel, glass of champagne and smoked salmon, I knew that my stay would be great. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The a la carte breakfast was great and there was a wide selection of hot and cold options. My room was huge and spotless, and the bed was very comfy. The only con of the room was that it looked over he neighbouring apartment building (so, not a very interesting view from the balcony). The hotel sent a fruit plate and a bottle of wine to the room...they know how to spoil their guests. The beach is right next to the hotel, and the hotel has a dedicated section on the beach (which was great!). Again, staff at the beach and at the Hagen Dazs (which is associated with the hotel) were all great. I used the roof top pool once during my stay, which had great views over the sea. I had a very relaxing stay at the Chania Flair and would absolutely stay here again!
