I have been to Changzhou several times, but I have never stayed at the Qingfengyuan Hotel. It felt good to enter the hotel today, especially when I entered the room. Compared with the signature dishes of Changzhou Liaison Office in Beijing, this place is even better. The silver carp head, herring tail, and soaked rice are very fragrant. The quality of my welcome fruit is so good that it makes my eyes light up. As for the beautiful scenery of Zhongwu Hotel, it is really beautiful. I visited Dongdi Garden twice. I don’t understand why some people say that you can’t get in. I often get dizzy in the garden and can’t tell east from west, south from north, so I called a car to take me back to Building 6 on the first night. The hotel’s buffet breakfast is very satisfactory to me, and the breakfast delivered to the room in Jiuyuan is a surprise. I found that Manager Wang, the intern Xiao Feng from the concierge department, the waiter who sent my lighter to the room, and the waiter who brought me food were all very professional and dedicated. Struggling to think of ways to improve this place. Great location near the old train station, Tianming Park and two metro stations. Professional staff, fast check-in. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores around. The bathing spa on the 3rd floor was incredible. There’s also a gym and pool onsite. The rooms were beautifully designed with cool pyramid ceilings. Mattresses were soft and I think they bought the best pillows money can buy. Pretty strong dedicated wifi connections, 20+ mbps. Breakfast was ok. If I ever come back to Changzhou I’m staying here!

Due to badminton matches + concerts + weekends, the number of rooms has soared from more than 300 to 600. The price-performance ratio was instantly low, but I upgraded to a suite. Although the room was large, the utilization rate was too low. I only slept for a few hours, which was a pity. The breakfast is quite rich. The temperature of the air conditioner is too low and has been turned off. It remains at 20 degrees and is freezing to death. The most painful thing is the sound insulation. The sound of credit card swiping next door can be heard very clearly.

The hotel exceeded our expectations for our stay and helped us enjoy our short 2 night weekend away stay in Changzhou, so thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make that happen. A special mention, however, must go to Chef Lu (卢大厨) for the really amazing breakfasts that both me, a European, and my partner, who is Shanghainese, both found delicious and delightful. Him and his team really are masters of both flavour and customer service, my partner especially agrees we cannot thank him and them enough, they have our trip a magnificent and memorable start to each day.
