I went in with low expectations after reading the reviews, but as soon as I entered the room, I knew I'd made the right choice. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the room was clean and spacious, which made me feel really good. There was also a large desk that was very practical for holding lots of things. The only downside is there isn't much of a view. However, the location is great, with the subway entrance just a few steps away, which is super convenient. If you're looking for a room with a view, I wouldn't recommend it, but if comfort is your priority, then this place is highly recommended.

Next time, I'm definitely bringing my parents along; it was so comfortable! Every day, they prepared tea bags and small pastries both inside and outside the room, along with a handwritten card 🫶🏻. Every corner of the hotel is picture-perfect 🤭. There are tons of shops to browse along the street outside, and the subway station and Wuyi Square are just a short distance away. The breakfast selection was extensive… My daughter couldn't get up to eat breakfast downstairs, and when the front desk lady found out, she even prepared a takeaway box so I could bring some food and soy milk back to the room for her! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This detail left the biggest impression on me… The staff are truly so thoughtful!!! When in Changsha, this is the only hotel I'll consider 😎😎😎 The photos are 100% accurate!

The hotel is absolutely fantastic and truly suited my style. The privacy was also excellent, thanks to a unique pull-down privacy screen – a rare feature that genuinely protected guest privacy. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team was excellent too. Every day after cleaning, they even left a thoughtful note for guests. The hotel was spotless and well-maintained. The location was super convenient for getting around, with Chaozong Street right downstairs, offering plenty of Instagrammable spots. They also offered complimentary luggage transfer upon check-out. I just have one small suggestion: For my room type, it would be great to have a small stool or a laundry hamper next to the bed for clothes. Personally, I think it would be much more convenient to have somewhere to put clothes after getting up or coming back from a day out, rather than having to retrieve them from the sofa, which isn't very practical.

I really loved the minimalist Chinese style here; the attention to detail clearly shows how much thought the owner put into it. The front courtyard is perfect for enjoying tea, offering a serene and comfortable environment where you can stay cool and relax, even when it's 38°C outside. Chaodong Street is definitely the best place in Changsha for a short two to three-day stay. I'll definitely be back! Many thanks to the owner for the excellent tea.

For our family trip (two adults, one child), picking the right hotel made all the difference! The room was equipped with two 1.35m beds, providing ample space for all three of us. The mattresses were perfectly comfortable – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a sound night's sleep every single night. This was a huge plus! Moreover, the room was incredibly spacious; it never felt cramped, and our child had plenty of room to run and play. The facilities clearly looked new and were very user-friendly. Cleanliness was also impeccable; every corner felt spotless and well-maintained. From check-in to check-out, the overall experience was fantastic and completely exceeded our expectations. It offers excellent value for money, and we will definitely choose this place again on our next visit!

The hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious. Although it's an older hotel, the hygiene is impeccably maintained. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick and efficient, and the staff were very polite, proactively informing us about various activities. A pleasant surprise was receiving complimentary Cha Yan Yue Se (a popular tea drink), and we were also able to arrange a late check-out. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the rice noodles were delicious. It truly meets the standards of a five-star hotel, highly recommended. I'd been eyeing this hotel for a long time, and on my trip to Changsha with my best friend, staying here was a must. The hotel is located on Chaozong Ancient Street, blending seamlessly with the surrounding historic buildings. Its decor is simple yet elegant, boasting both artistic flair and a strong sense of design. It's renowned for its high-quality service and comfortable environment. From the airport pick-up service, 24-hour concierge travel guidance, complimentary fruit upon check-in, Baisha Spring water and Evian water in the room, to the abundant afternoon tea and late-night snacks available until the early hours, and the incredibly thoughtful Chinese breakfast delivered to our room – every detail was perfect. Our attentive concierge even arranged for Heytea (Chayanyuese) to be delivered for us before we even arrived! Every single detail was touching. The arched corridors in the public areas and the design of the lobby bar felt like being in an art museum, making for fantastic photos! We also received a complimentary travel photography session upon check-in, taking countless pictures. All the negatives were given to us, plus nine retouched photos – absolutely fantastic! Yijian 6500 Chaozong Ancient Street branch perfectly combines design, humanistic care, and quality service, offering travelers more than just a place to stay, but a cherished memory. If you come to Changsha and are looking for a place where you can feel the city's pulse while also enjoying some peaceful time, this is undoubtedly an excellent choice. The InterContinental Changsha North Star is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Changsha. On this business trip, right after I checked in, I encountered a TV singing show's production crew departing. The hotel's internal management is excellent; even with several celebrities coming and going, order was maintained impeccably! A quick note: I'm not a celebrity chaser; I just happened to snap a photo. My true admiration is reserved for our brave servicemen and women! The front desk staff (pictured) were extremely professional, proactively communicating about my stay and even asking about my floor preference to ensure a comfortable room assignment. Highly impressed! 👍 The hotel's surroundings boast attractions such as the Changsha Museum, Changsha Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, and Changsha Concert Hall. Moreover, the Xiangjiang River Greenway is right outside the hotel, offering fantastic riverside jogging opportunities. Definitely a highly recommended hotel!

Book a review view the view was exceptional. The breakfast was lacklustre and just not up to standard. The room was decent and cleaning could be better. As well as general Maintenance of the room. The daily housekeeping was none existent. All that was done was bed somewhat neatened and towels refreshed and water provided. No cleaning of anything else was done which was highly disappointing for a 4star hotel. We also kept on running out of toilet paper. Requesting amenities on xiaodu was pointless cause they never arrived.

Very nice stay, no photos taken. First of all, the hygiene is very good. I didn't find any missed cleaning corners. The equipment is relatively new and has a little smell, but the air purifier is also very considerate. The disposable supplies provided are also very useful. The toothbrush is very soft, which surprised me. The room is also very big. In addition, the service is good. Fruits, snacks, black sesame cakes and hawthorns are placed in the room in the evening. They are not cheap snacks. There are 4 bottles of free water every day. There are also free water, cola and other drinks in the small refrigerator. There is also free tea. There is an automatic coffee machine for breakfast, which is very friendly to me who drinks American food. Fresh milk is also provided. In addition, my husband said that the noodles are very delicious, even better than those sold outside. There is also a gym with very new equipment. It’s a good place to exercise after eating. Finally, the location is very good. I originally wanted to find a cost-effective hotel near the subway station. This one is newly renovated and is right next to the subway station. The price is not expensive during the holidays. Other subway entrances are smaller and more expensive. I didn’t do any planning before coming here, but it turned out that this place is close to Sifangping Night Market, a 5-minute walk away. I ate thirty square meters on the first day.
