We loved this boutique hotel, which oozes charm, & has a rustic Alpine Lodge vibe. Located a short stroll into the picturesque town of Chamonix, set in gorgeous grounds full of beautiful 'flora & fauna', & cuddled by the Mountains which are viewed from every angle at this cute small hotel. Rooms vary, & our room was spacious, with a super balcony looking onto the mountains. A comforting wooden interior, with lovely fabrics & a good comfortable bed. Staff are welcoming, friendly & very helpful, & helped providing us with good suggestions for the local area. We also received a complementary Bottle of Fizz & Chocolates in our room, upon arrival as a gift for my birthday & our anniversary celebrations. The hotel offers a spa area, consisting of an outdoor Hot Tub, & Sauna, which sadly we did not have time to use, but it was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was good, fresh & set us up for the day of exploring.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced, the woman on the phone actually told me to break the law! Avoid this hotel at all costs! I had a booking for December at this hotel, but unfortunately due to the change in restrictions set by the French government banning all British Travellers for non essential reasons (tourism not being an essential reason), I was unable to go on my holiday. I contacted the hotel on the day that the restrictions came into place, asking if a refund would be possible, they ignored my messages and told me to contact *********** when spoke with them on the phone. *********** then contacted them asking if they could refund my money due to the circumstances, but they refused. I then decided to try and change the dates so I could still visit the hotel and not loose my money, again they ignored my messages and told me to contact *********** when I rang them. After telling *********** that they would not change my dates I decided to ring them again. During this phone call I spoke with a women called Arina, I explained the situation calmly and tried to ask if I could change my dates, before I could finish my sentence should rudely interrupted and started screaming at me down the phone saying she has explained to *********** that the dates can not be changed. I explained the situation with the restrictions changing, and how it's not my fault that I cant visit France, to which she responded 'Why you can't just fly to Switzerland and cross the boarder to France'! Now I don't know how stupid this women is but she didn't seem to realize that she was telling me to break the law, regardless of where I fly to if I cross the boarder into France with these latest restrictions I would be breaking the law and subject to a fine (if not worse). I explained that what she had told me to do was break the law, she then responded saying that she had travelled to the UK and back to France last week without any issues, again I'm not sure how stupid this woman is but being a French citizen is an essential reason to enter France, which I explained to her. I then reminded her that I am a UK citizen and not allowed in the country unless for I have an essential reason. After this, she asked why have I left it till 3 days before my holiday before changing my booking, I told her that the restrictions only come into place 5 days ago and that myself and *********** had contacted them on the first day that the restrictions come into place, I then told her to check her emails for proof, but she then went back to telling me to travel to Switzerland and cross the boarder, again telling me to break the law. She continued to scream and shout at me over the phone instead of trying to be reasonable, making up any excuse she could think of, after running out of excuses she decided to put the phone down on me. So now the hotel have kept my money and refused to be reasonable in a situation that wasn't my fault. All this time there was also someone

The rooms are quite large and there is a balcony where you can sit and drink coffee. The beds were quite comfortable, the night was quiet, and the training was good. The price/performance ratio is pretty good. I will consider Chamonix next time
We had a beautiful stay, check it was amazing and even though we arrived early they were kind enough to store our bags so we could walk around the town while we waited for check in time. The view from the room was beautiful and the amenities were great! The only downside we had was getting 2 beds but we knew beforehand that it was a possibility. Check out was simple and painless and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely rebook here.
Very good hotel! Located in the heart of Chamonix and at the gates of the Aiguille du Midi
The attention of the staff is impeccable and the spa is a real plus
The restaurant very good a little expensive but very good quality
This is a clean- cheery and fun hotel! A very good rate- awesome staff and food! The location is convenient as well- a perfect place for a family or couples stay - little bowling alley Board games- pleasant surprises everywhere-they even had parking!
I should start by saying it is hard to get a 5 from me for a hotel. My group of 4 was very happy with the Alpina. For starters, it's right next to two bus stops, one of which is only 2 stops from Brevent. There is also a ski shop in the hotel, and ski lockers downstairs. As this was primarily a ski trip, this set up was prime. The rooms were great and the view of Mont Blanc from the terrace was amazing each morning. The morning breakfast situation was pretty fantastic as well. So many options, including fresh pancakes, omelets, and crepes. The bar downstairs had fantastic service and had a bunch of boardgames to play with our friends. Some of of best memories from this trip were down in this area playing games and drinking espresso martinis. I only have a few negatives: 1. The elevators always seem to take forever. There were multiple times I was waiting for one of the 3 elevators for over 5 minutes. 2. The spa requires reservations, which I completely understand to make sure it's not over crowded. But we had to plan our ski day and apres schedule around when we can go sit in the hot tub. 3. This was made a bit worse when we discovered the hot tubs are not hot. At all. Typically we enjoy hot tubs around 35-43ºc. These two hot tubs were maybe 25ºc. Once the jets turned on, it was almost chilly. These are very minor complaints, but these are why I didn't give a 5.
Really nice little hotel. Quiet at night time and in central location of Chamonix. The room was clean and comfortable, enough for one person. Bathroom was really clean and had towels, soap and a hairdryer. The breakfast room was clean and tidy and a continental selection of jams, cheese and cold meats. Able to boil an egg, toast, baguette and fresh croissant, fruit, yoghurt etc. Would definitely stay there again. Staff friendly and helpful. Secure entrance when staff leave for the night.
