We visited March/April 2024 as a family with a larger group. We had two apartments for up to 6 people (one had 4 and the other 5) These were self catered and we were provided a small cleaning pack (small washing up liquid, small antibacterial cleaner, 5 dishwasher tablets, and a few cloths) and toiletries which were three small shower gel and shampoo solid bars and one toilet roll. These were small and not enough for everyone all week. Over the week we had to buy rubbish bags and toilet roll. Towels were provided (one hand one bath per person) and two robes regardless of the makeup of the people in the room. These were hard and not luxury as you would want for four star. The room was spacious with a double room, a twin room and then there was a double sofa bed. We didn’t use this but the other family did and it wasn’t particularly comfortable. Bedding was provided and this was quite comfortable. I don’t think that the rooms are big enough for 6 people personally. Not on a holiday when you have all the ski clothing in the room. There is a lack of storage for bulky clothes and we generally left our coats on the sofa bed. The rooms were not particularly clean. The toilet is in its own room and in both rooms smelled like a urinal. The bathrooms were ok, and the showers hot and powerful enough. We did find that down the side of the sink was dirty and had not been cleaned for a while. The rooms were not cleaned thoroughly between uses and I didn’t like walking barefoot. The socks I wore in the apartment were black with dirt. The general areas are not particularly well maintained either. Someone had left a bag of rubbish on the bannister of the stairway and this was there three days later when we left. The cutlery and plates are plentiful. The kitchen is adequate with a fridge, microwave/oven, dishwasher and hob. You can eat in if you like which we did a few times. Some of rooms have spectacular views from the balcony. Others not so much. You are given a ski locker with the room which was spacious and helpful and kept wet boards and boots out of the room. The swimming pool is great for bad ski days, with the sauna and steam rooms being roomy and lovely and hot. You have to ask reception to turn these in and these facilities are only available when reception is open (so not between 12-3pm) The hotel is well situated for the train station and the bus stops and town. You get free train travel from the hotel and this was so much quieter than the bus. It is only a short walk to the bars and restaurants which is great after a long day skiing. In checkout we left our bags at the hotel for a few hours and these were left in the fitness suite. Not helpful for those wanting to use it and not particularly secure. I think a better system is needed. The receptionist was lovely and helpful. I wouldn’t stay here again mainly due to it claiming to be luxury and to be 4*. If it was appropriately priced for a 3* I would consider it. However, if I was

Our family of 2 adults and 4 kids (ages 4 to 13) just got back from a trip here. We are already planning to go back next year! The only downside was having to buy our own toilet paper after the first roll (not a big deal, just wish we would have known before we just got back from the grocery store). The location absolutely could not be beat! It was right by the train station where the Mer de Glacé train leaves from and within walking distance to everything we needed. Ski busses were very close by and convenient as well. The kitchen was very well equipped and even had things such as a toaster. Beds , pillows and comforters were very comfortable and the heat worked very well! We used toe indoor pool (which was a great temperature), and the steam rooms/saunas daily. Staff was very friendly and helpful and pointed us to the rental place right next door where we rented skis and also sleds. I have already recommended this property to friends.

I traveled with a 1.9 van and we had to park at another location but it was free so that was great. The receptionist gave us a lot of good suggestions and we were able to do a lot more activities because of the recommendations. The interior design is a bit old and somewhat small in the aspect that the rooms are small fitting. You also have to walk around 10min to get to the centre but train to Mer de glacier is right in front of the building.

We had a good stay here. Its near to train station and city center. Though the houses are bit old, its maintained well. The kitchen is equipped. Staff were friendly.

The Ginabelle is in a very good location for the town centre, station and ski bus stops. The staff are welcoming and friendly, very helpful. The property is in a traditional alpine style spread across a few buildings. Reception area is really nice with seating area. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment which was cosy, warm, it had everything we needed for our ski trip (3 of us) but it's fair to say the decor is a little dated and tired, the furniture and bathroom especially. In theory would sleep 6 but that would be a squeeze with 2 on a sofa bed + 2 separate bedrooms and a small bathroom. Would stay again as overall very good value for money.

Wonderful location. Great patisserie within a short walking distance. Our unit wasn't as clean as one would hope - dirty floor and dirty dishrag in the sink. Lighting in the unit lousy - lots of dark areas. Barebones amenities in the unit. Super location though!!

Liked the location - central but just out of the hustle and bustle. Staff were very friendly. Liked that the kitchen had an oven option. Disliked the charge for good wfi. Our top floor apartment was ackwardly laid out making it seem cramped, while our friends on a lower floor had a well laid out apartment.

Location is good - in the middle of town. But this is the only positive. On arrival we did not get parking space - suddenly we should have to booked in advance (charge) and all places were taken. In Chamonix you drive to 5-6 ski areas or spend a long time in the bus - so this is an issue when driving through Europe for this reason Maeva.com - the rental agent for our apartment - charged 4,00 EUR city tax per person per day instead of the correct tax 0,90 EUR. For 2 persons - 7 days - it adds up to 41,40 EUR overcharge. The friendly staff exlained bookings through Pierre & Vacances would pay the correct amount - but not Maeva customers. (2 seperate credit card hand terminals in the reception - one for P&V and one for Maeva). When complaining via e-mail - no response from Maeva. We asked for a high floor apartment - we got a ground floor on top of the noisy swimming pool. Last - the complex is run down - at least 15 years since last renovation.
