Fabulous chateau hotel and perfect for Christmas. Lovely staff, extensive grounds to explore and quite delicious food. TBH I can’t understand or recognise several of the negative comments below. I think I’m an experienced traveler and quite picky but I have been delighted with my 6 night stay - and with all the food and wine.

Although the grounds were attractive, damp weather precluded enjoying the terrace. Our room (#8) was sub par. There was no overhead lighting.The side tables were well worn. Red curtains and red carpet contributed to the dim and dingy ambiance.There was no shower in the bathroom.

The hotel / castle had great view of the mountain and Alps on the other side. It was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was continental style. Croissant was good. We did the wine tasting too which was fine. English translation was limited but good enough. Then room furnishing and carpet were a touch old but bathroom was modern.

Firstly a review of the Hotel, apparently only 3 stars but put many 4star hotels to shame. Lovely building in quiet location but close to transport links and mountains all around. Warmly greeted and shown to lovely room on first floor. An old building but classic room with modern facilities. Situated in it's own arboretum with pool etc a very tranquil spot. I suspect it gets busy with wedding etc but was very quiet on a Sunday night in late May. Breakfast was a minor let down as there was no one about and hence it felt a bit of a non event, food was OK, coffee not great. Felt like they were preparing for a wedding / function and the few guests were left a bit to nown device. Everything else was great so would happily stay again.

We were part of a coach tour so the room varied between passengers with some getting very good rooms and others getting average rooms. There were no tea or coffee making facilities which was a big minus for a 6 night stay but of course you could buy drinks in reception. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and as we were in the annex rather than the main two buildings I must admit our room was cold with a radiator hidden behind the curtain so if you wanted heat you could not close the curtains. The toilet in our room was very cramped and each time you went in you knocked the toilet roll of the holder. It was nice but not what I expected of a Chateau room

A one night stop over en route to Italy. Great location above the town and near the Spa. Good safe parking. Given a room upgrade which was kind. Very relaxing surroundings. The trees in the grounds are wonderful - old and varied. The history of the place is interesting too. Dinner was on the terrace and was good but not top notch. Breakfast was al fresco too and good but not up with the best we had on our three week tour in terms of choices, etc. Conferences seem to be key to the business which was good to see because it is a large property. Would go there again

I spent 2 nights in this hotel and was very disappointed. We paid 317 euros for 2 nights, which is very expensive for the quality of the room. It was small and stuffy, and the bathroom had serious problems: the shower was dangerous because the temperature was constantly changing, it was either boiling or freezing and the temperature change every 5 seconds.., and the tap for washing hands was unhooked. In addition, there was a damp patch on the ceiling. We raised our concerns with the management, but no commercial gesture was offered, which is really disappointing. On the other hand, the location of the hotel was excellent and the breakfast was very good.

The gift box offer is a little below our expectations. Not half a bottle of water in the rooms, no kettle, the rooms are a little old all the same. The value for money of the night is not quite up to the claims of the establishment, it was our disappointment. On the other hand, the restaurant is a table to be highlighted. Beautiful composition of the plates, pleasant and efficient service, it is worth a stop, it is the good surprise that raises the level. We had not been warned that the cellar offered a tasting, it is a shame to have missed it. Even if the whole is a magnificent setting, the gourmet meal up to par, the rooms degrade the rating to average .. difficult to recommend to friends with this weak point.

We spent one night at the castle. The setting is relaxing and beautiful. There is a large, very pleasant park. The room was very comfortable with a very large bed. Above all, we had an excellent meal with very pleasant service. The breakfast was very generous. A great experience!
