A taste of the mountains with the convenience of an in-town location. This newly built house is nestled on a large fenced-in lot and offers guests the best in comfort, amenities, and indoor/outdoor living areas. Ideally situated between downtown Brevard and the entrance to Pisgah Forest, the Chalet is on the ever-growing Rails and Trails bike bath that can take you anywhere.You will enjoy many unique features at this beautiful mountain home, such as a sweeping rock staircase just past the entry gate surrounded by a large native plant garden and a big elevated back deck designed for lounging, grilling, and entertaining friends and has a private hot tub! (Please note If you wish to use the hot tub there is a $25 maintenance fee per reservation. Just contact Gareth if you wish to use the tub)Inside, the large living room has comfortable leather furniture and a 65-inch TV with surround sound. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need, and an oversized butcher block island with stools creates an excellent center gathering place. There is a full dining table that seats 6. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and the 2 bedrooms upstairs have king beds. All are furnished and have full closets. 2 Luxurious bathrooms, one with a large tile and glass door shower and the other with a tub and shower combination.This PET-FRIENDLY home is a DOG HEAVEN! The whole lot is fenced, so you can bring your furry friends, who will have plenty of outside room to explore. We even have a spare dog bed and bowls just in case you don't bring your own! Please let us know if you will be bringing pets as there will be a pet fee of $25/night for up to 2 pets and $15/night for each additional after. The screened porch is cantilevered under the main level deck to take advantage of the way the cabin is perched on the slope, accessible by an outside stairs to the lower level, with same South-facing 180 degree view as the deck above -especially nice in the fall or when the trees are bare. It is a screened porch, meaning all big openings in the photos are screens, not glass windows, enabling you to still feel very connected to nature. Depending on one's comfort level and favorite seasons, we have plenty of cozy blankets and wraps for cooler months, and two ceiling fans in the screened porch for warmer months.The cabin decor is "modern rustic" - comfortable, and well-appointed with central air/heat, two bedrooms, two full baths, washer & dryer, brand new GE appliances (fridge, stove & dishwasher). The kitchen is stocked with ample dishes & cookware, and Keurig coffee maker stocked with a supply of coffee and hot chocolate. Downstairs furnishings include a locally hand-crafted solid pine kitchen island & seven foot poplar farm table (perfect for holiday gatherings), comfortable leather furniture and a cozy propane free-standing corner fireplace. Upstairs in the loft, guests enjoy a spacious sectional sofa, a 50” TV with Streaming AT&T TV and Apple TV, board games, and a comfy recliner in the cozy reading nook.The master bedroom features an elevated queen size bed, ceiling fan, updated spa-like master bath with large sunken shower, natural stone tile, vaulted ceiling & white washed ship lap. Located in the beautiful, gated mountain community of Connestee Falls, this region hosts signature waterfalls and natural splendor. Spend your days exploring the 4 community lakes and miles of hiking trails, or take a short drive to DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Caesar’s Head State Park, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. Downtown Brevard is a short drive away with restaurants, shops, breweries, festivals, and more. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are just an hour away.The Tea House’s main level consists of a comfortable living area, an open, eat-in kitchen, a full bathroom, guest room and master bedroom. The master bedroom, located off the living room, has a king-sized bed, dresser, private full bath and access directly onto the screened porch. The loft hosts a large, comfortable couch, Roku TV and a daybed with a trundle bed. A circular staircase leads you from the main living area to the basement bedroom and laundry room. At the base of the stairs, you will find storage cabinets with beach towels, games, sand toys and extra blankets and the laundry room. The basement bedroom has three twin beds, a futon, open closet system, Roku TV, video arcade game and children’s books. Off the bedroom is a full bathroom. From the basement bedroom you can exit the house to the back deck where you can enjoy a game of ping pong or sit comfortably and watch the deer go by at the bar top table. Mounted on the front righthand corner of the house is an EV charger adaptable for all electric vehicles. Across from the front door is a charcoal grill for your use and enjoyment. CONNESTEE FALLS AMENITIES: Community amenities included with the $150 fee – Access to the Clubhouse with 2 restaurants, fitness center, heated pool (May-September), and the championship George Cobb 18-hole golf course, driving range, Pro Shop, and golf cart rental (golf and fitness center usage fees required). There are 20 miles of hiking trails with multiple waterfalls, 4 pristine, stocked lakes with docks for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. Covered picnic areas with grills, a playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, bocce ball courts, pickleball courts are also available for your use. Their confluence is Mile Marker Zero for the French Broad, said to be the third oldest river in the world....not surprising since The Appalachians are the oldest mountains in the world! Both rivers offer excellent trout fishing and the French Broad Invites canoers, kayakers and tubers.Transylvania County, NC, is known as The Land of Waterfalls with over 200 named falls, dozens of which are relatively easy to hike to. Pisgah National Forest features the Ranger and Visitor's Center, the Trout Hatchery, Looking Glass Falls, Sliding Rock and The Cradle of Forestry.
