As an engineer that needs a good workspace, I made sure I was able to be comfortable and work efficiently while here.Traveling during the winter has risks due to potential snow storms. Always check the weather before traveling. We provide a plowing service, however, during a major storm it could take significant time for the driveway to be plowed. There are shovels provided in case of snow storms but this is pretty rare. During the winter months make sure to have chains available.During the summer there is extreme fire danger. There is absolutely NO tolerance for smoking and outdoor fires during the summer months. The county will HEAVILY fine you for creating any campfires plus it will be documented via cameras and/or neighbors.There is plenty of parking for the gravel driveway area. We only ask to please not block any space to get to the garage and leave enough room for cars/emergency vehicles to get in and out. There is a property in the back that is accessed using an easement that passes by this property. You can see the back of the other property and the side entrance from the backyard of this house. There should not be any disturbances during your stay as these properties are standard distances for neighbors and everyone is informed. Lovely Bass Lake home with lake views from the second story and kitchen. Approximately one block from the lake. Large lot with a big driveway. The backyard is beautifully landscaped. The fountain in the backyard helps set the tone for dinners outside or drinks at sunset. Duceys, the marina, and Pines bar are minutes away and walkable for those who like to stretch their legs. The lake is only a block away. If you need anything from supplies to food, Oakhurst is only a 10 minute drive and has major grocery stores, Starbucks, great restaurants and almost anything you might need. If your looking to do something more adventurous, Yosemite National Park entrance is only 30 minutes away.The spaceOur Cabin is a 3 bedroom 2 bath. The master bedroom has its own shower/tub attached to the room. We have 3 smart televisions that are over 50" with access to Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon prime . We offer fast Wifi and a desk for those who need to work remotely. Alexa is happy to play the music of your liking while you cook in our well outfitted kitchen. We have a Keurig for all you coffee lovers! There is also tea and a frother to have foam on you coffee. The couch in the living room pulls up to create a large lounging or sleeping area. Extra blankets and sheets are stored in the chais lounge for anyone who wants to rest on the couch. Each room has its own ac/heating unit and they work beautifully so we have no doubt on those hot summer days you will be cool inside and warm in the winter. In the winter we have a wood burning fireplace and an abundance of firewood to keep you extra toasty. There is also a large covered parking area if you wish to park your cars or a boat.Our bunk room is perfect for kids and we have a bunch of toys to keep little ones occupied. We offer also offer a pack and play as well as a high chair for families with little ones.Our second story can accommodate a small family as it had one king and 2 twins located together with a great view of the stars and lake. Our master has a king size bed, it’s own bathroom and 55” tv. Our bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, toiletries, and body wash. We have a washer and dryer and supply laundry detergent and an iron and ironing board. We just purchased all new furniture in June 2022 so everything is brand new! There are also new appliances in the house.Spend the day on the lake or go on an adventure to Yosemite. Guests also have access to our semi-private lakeside beach area (available only to this neighborhood). This area has some covered seating. When you get back, relax in the recently landscaped backyard. The backyard has a calming water fountain with strings of lights that drape across the yards. There is a table in the backyard that seats 6 so you are able dine inside or outside. We have a gas BBQ outside and corn hole. A custom made Owl box is also in the backyard. We hope to have an owl make this his new home.Guest accessThe entire house and yard are yours to use exclusively. Other things to noteThe Pines Resort has a general store, gas pump, pizza and ice cream parlor, full service marina with boat rentals, jet ski rental, paddle board and tube rentals. There are also some fantastic hiking trails in the area. Oakhurst is only a 10 minute drive away. It has some great restaurants and a Raleys and Vons for groceries. Outside is just as inviting as inside - you won't know where you want to spend your time more. You really wont want to leave the cabin once you get there. There is such a peace and beauty to this location that will keep you coming back. Decoration and furnishing match the cabin feel which makes it even more special. All open floor plan, loft sleeping with no doors and no privacy. Steep steps to get up to the sleeping area which can be challenging for some. Please note this is an original Cabin - kept up and maintained, beautiful but please come with realistic expectations.Guest Access:You have access to the whole cabin and surrounding .5 acres. Two parking areas and outside sitting areas.The loft where the beds are - are truly a ladder like step situation. It will be difficult for elderly people - doable depending upon their agility. Please take note! This is a true cabin.Upstairs has a railing - all children need to be accompanied and watched closely.The Neighborhood:Yosemite National ParkA few houses are around but very quiet and serene. You barely know there is anyone around.Getting Around:Far from public transportationOther Things to Note:There is lots of rocks and gravel around the cabin and in the walkways. Please be aware of this and make sure you walk sure footed. Especially noted for the elderly.The cabin has heating from Wood Stove and Fireplace. Split units have been added to the cabin for heat and AC.Please look at directions provided. The GPS takes you a different way that is more difficult.We are not stating that 10 people occupancy is the best - it is a cabin with a loft so 10 people is a lot but some groups choose to want to stay like this. There is room for 10 people to sleep without question but this is your choice. There is only 5 beds - please note this and please do not mark us down if you choose to bring this many people to the cabin. We have tried to be extremely clear in our descriptions and should you have any questions - please do so before booking. Depending on the group you are bringing the coziness of the cabin can be a good thing or a challenging one. Please observe our forth rightness about the number of people.**We are on a septic, do not put food down any of the drains Nor Oils or grease. Put only toilet paper down the toilets please. **We are also on our own well, neither services are connected to any local utilities. The septic and well is our own personal responsibility and how the cabin/bathroom/kitchen are treated, greatly affect these. Please be aware and act accordingly. **Due to Covid and our cleaning protocols, we plan for bedding and towels for the number of guests you have noted for the reservation.
