THE CABINCabin 1 is loacated in front of the main lodge. It was the original carriage house. Now it is a lake front cabin built in the 1912 it shares a 2 acre lot with historic Point Comfort Lodge. Recently remodeled rustic style cabin it has 2 bedrooms. One large bedroom with lake view has a king size bed and 2nd bedroom has a small twin bed, closet for clothes and a lake view. Maximum number of persons in this cabin is three. This building was the original carriage house for Point Comfort Lodge. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook. Coffee maker, blender, pots/pans/baking dishes etc. Kitchen table with 4 chairs. Lake view from living room. Small private lawn area outside bedroom and living room windows. patio chairs available. In the summer the trout come from all over the 94,000 acre lake into the bay in front of the cabin. These wild trout are a strain of steelhead landlocked in the lake 80 years ago. They average 2-3 pounds and fish over 8 pounds are not uncommon. This is a favorite spot for fly fishermen. There are miles of canoe and kayaking trails throughout the marsh. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the fish jumping in the lake! PROPERTY and DOCKThe dock will accommodate up to eight average sized boats and comes with a ladder if you happen to jump in. There are 2 peddle boats available for guest use. We have a supply of life jackets. The two acres of land surrounding the cabin are planted in rolling lawns, and natural plant species of the surrounding area. The gardens are beautiful in the spring when the lilac bushes and the flowering trees are in bloom. There are several large rock outcroppings to set off the gentle slope to the lake. We have horse shoes, tether ball, and a basketball hoop.NEARBYRocky Point Resort is ½ mile down the road, accessible by car, a short walk, or a boat ride from our dock to theirs. They have a small store,where you can purchase a fishing license, an ice cream or fishing lures if you need some. They also have a restaurant with full bar, and boat rentals. Harriman Springs Resort is 1/2 mile away with a full bar and dining includes breakfast and lunch with some evenings for dinner, their schedule can change so please check.Lake of the Woods Resort is 8 miles north on Hwy 140, a short 10 minute drive. Lake of the Woods features a restaurant, boat rental, store and excellent swimming beaches. The Running Y Resort is 15 minutes south on Hwy 140 which features bar and restaurant, convenience store, and a wonderful 18 hole Golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, rated as one of the top 100 in the U.S. Crater Lake is a beautiful drive, just 45 minutes north. Lava Beds National Monument a hour to the south. There is a small store and gas station in Odessa. Take 140 towards Klamath Falls about 1 mile, it is on the left. This cozy mountain home on one acre is high on the mountain above Crescent Lake, but just a short five mile drive to the lake shore of both Odell and Crescent Lakes. And, during the winter, this home is also only 10 miles from Willamette Pass Ski Resort, which makes it possible to take ski breaks or grab lunch back at the house, during a long day at the mountain.The home layout includes: three bedrooms (2 queen and 1 King), three full bathrooms, a large finished basement with 2 sturdy bunk beds (4 twin beds total), which can sleep up to 10 people comfortably in beds. There is also an inflatable queen mattress that can be used to sleep additional people and a foldable crib for infants.Other home features include: high speed Starlink internet, foosball table, propane fireplace, barbecue, large deck off the dining room, four bicycles, two car garage, DVD player and many DVD movies, and new stove/range. Please keep this in mind if you intend to bring a trailer. We would only recommend trailers smaller than 10 feet, like a two place snowmobile trailer or small fishing boat. Parking on the road is not allowed. One possibility is to park larger trailers at Crescent or Odell Lakes.* Winter Parking: This area gets LOTS of snow in the winter. We do our best to keep the driveway plowed in the winter, but it snows often and even if the driveway was plowed, you could still get stuck. For this reason, we have the plow driver widen the road at the top of the driveway to allow for parking of 2-3 vehicles if you don’t feel good about going down the driveway (just make sure you are entirely off of the road with your car(s). You can then use the "luggage sled" found on the front porch in the winter to pull your luggage into the house, if you wish. We also highly recommend you have tire chains for your vehicle.* We do have Google Nest doorbell at the front door to monitor the check-in and check-out process. * We do allow up to two dogs, but we charge an additional $50 pet stay (not per day or per dog) to assist with the extra cleaning. Please reach out to us if you plan to bring your furry friend.* We have decided to shut down our hot tub due to the required ongoing maintenance and difficulty finding service staff willing to travel over an hour to make repairs. The view will keep you awe-inspired throughout your stay!The finishings include wood floors, hickory cabinets, granite countertops, tiled shower accents, stone fireplace and wood trim throughout the chalet.All of our beds have fresh cotton sheets with nice linen blankets, and soft high-end down-alternative pillows. All bedding is hypo-allergenic so you can rest easy.The house is 3 levels. The main floor offers the kitchen, a full bathroom, and a large living room with a wood stove and a smart TV. There are two bedrooms on this level. One with a firm king bed, and one with a medium-firm queen bed.Downstairs we have a half-bathroom and a bedroom with a bunk bed and a twin bed. The lower bunk is a full, and the upper bunk is a twin. There is also a 2nd living room with a TV and entertainment system full of DVDs, board games, and more. This is where families and friends play!The upstairs loft has a medium-firm full-sized bed and a full bathroom. It also has an even better vantage point of the mountains!We just recently upgraded internet to Yellowknife, a fixed wireless internet service. It is superior to Satellite internet and has lower latency in all types of weather.
