Boone Lake, South Holston Lake and River are also just a short drive away. This area also provides many access points to the Appalachian Trail within a short drive as well as many other hiking trails to lookouts, waterfalls and nature hotspot. Ski Resorts in Beech Mountain, NC and Sugar Mountain, NC are less than 40 miles away. The iconic Bristol Motor Speedway is just 17 minutes from our driveway. Some of our personal favorite short drive day trips are to Blowing Rock, NC (52 miles), Boone, NC (47 miles), Banner Elk, NC (33 miles), Grandfather Mountain (29 miles), Linn Cove Viaduct (41 miles), and The Blue Ridge Parkway (@ 40 milles). There are also shopping options in downtown Bristol (State Street divides TN and VA), The Pinnacle Shops (20 miles), and Johnson City (8 miles).
