The Carefree Cabin is a two level cabin with vaulted wood ceilings and large skylights. It has an open floor plan with a modern kitchen w/attached dining room, and an inviting living room with a gas fireplace and hearth. It’s a great home for guests of all ages and stages.Here you will find everything you will need for a relaxing & comfortable stay. The cabin boasts new mattresses and linens, fluffy bath and hot tub towels, a stocked kitchen with stainless appliances, cooking spices, automatic drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, French press, electric hot water kettle, salad spinner, colanders, pots/pans, baking sheets, blender, toaster, wine glasses, and children’s dinnerware.After a fun day of play, enjoy an evening under the stars in the hot tub. The Carefree Cabin has 3 large flat screen TVs - each with its own Chromecast plus high speed wifi for your streaming & video-call enjoyment. Enjoy a selection of board games for the entire family. Working remotely? The Queen bedroom has a built-in desk with a chair that is perfect for you and your laptop.For the little ones, there are 2 retractable safety gates available, a Pack'n'Play, a high chair, an infant/toddler tub, an Osprey baby hiking backpack, a BOB jogger stroller, an anti-slip tub mat, baby soap, along with books, games, toys, and kid sized dinnerware. Children will delight in a magical teepee fort found in the corner of one of the bedrooms.The Carefree Cabin has air conditioning, heating, and a gas fireplace.Guest Access:Guests may access all rooms/deck, and may use the garage for storage of non-vehicle items such as luggage, ski's, tubes, bikes, etc. All reservations at the Carefree Cabin include 8 SHARC passes for use from 4pm on check-in day through 11am on check-out day. Lost passes must be replaced by guest.The driveway can accommodate approximately 3 cars which must fit entirely on the pavement. RVs, boats, trailers, snowmobiles, etc (any non-passenger vehicle) can be kept in the driveway for up to 48 hrs max. This is an HOA rule that is enforced strictly. For storage needs beyond 48 hrs, there is nearby storage lot with spaces for short term use for a fee-per-day. Inquire with host.The Neighborhood:The Carefree Cabin provides quick access to skiing, golfing, hiking, fishing, swimming, & exploring in Central Oregon. It is a 5 minute drive from the SHARC (Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center) where you can enjoy heated indoor and outdoor water recreation areas seasonally (please go online to check operating hours/dates!) that include a lazy river w/inner tubes, baby pools, water slides, a grassy hill with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a cafe. Additional seasonal amenities include Pickleball and Tennis courts, a private boat launch, and disc golf. All of these activities are accessible using the cabin's 8 SHARC passes. Additionally guests can easily access tube, canoe, SUP, kayak (and other) rentals for use in the Deschutes river right in Sunriver!Getting Around:While there is lots to explore on foot or by bike within Sunriver, you will benefit from a car to get around and discover all there is to see in this beautiful part of Oregon!Other Things to Note:It is very important to us that you enjoy your stay and we welcome the opportunity to improve our guests experience. You will love this wonderful 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch cabin, which is located on the private outer circle of the Circle 4 complex. You are minutes away from the Village Mall and Fort Rock park. This comfortable home sleeps 6 with a queen sofa pullout for 8. We also have a twin blow-up in the kids room. There is a wrap around deck with a BBQ and a large hot tub. The open kitchen & dining area feature a gas wood burning river rock fireplace. We also have a second refrigerator in the garage, so you can stock up on some items. The Master suite on the upper level has a King size bed, TV and private bath with shower. On the main level there are 2 bedrooms. One has a Queen bed, and the other has 2 Twins. There is a full bath to accommodate both rooms. This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath unit. We have a washer and dryer in the unit. We also have a garage that is full of toys. Bikes, a Ping Pong table as well as Winter Snow toys. We also store the fire wood in the garage, so when its cold the fireplace will keep it cozy. We work very hard to keep our unit up to the standards that we would want when we travel ourselves. Cozy A frame cabin set in a quiet neighborhood among the pine trees just a short walk from the Deschutes River. The Black Duck Cabin is a perfect destination for all of Central Oregon's amazing activities. 10 minute drive to Sunriver Village, 30 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor, 30 minutes to Downtown Bend, 10 minute walk to the Deschutes River, golfing, fishing, hiking, shopping, mountain biking, all a short drive. If you're looking for a rustic, cabin experience this is the place for you! When you walk in the front door of our cabin you'll find a cozy living space. The lower level is a great place to relax, play games, read a book, eat and drink, all while being close to family and friends. There is a comfy oversized couch with a pull out bed and a beautiful leather chair right next to the wood burning stove. In the corner of the same room is our breakfast/dining nook with seating for 4 and then 2 bar stools at the counter. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal while being close to family and friends. There is a drip coffee maker as well as a french press. Down the short hallway is the master bedroom with a queen size bed, 43 inch smart TV, phone/device chargers, and a closet. The small but functional bathroom is across the hall, stocked with towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, and blow dryer. The shower has hot water and good water pressure but it is small. From the main living space there are stairs that lead to the loft. Due to the A frame construction the stairs are a little steeper than normal. Once upstairs you'll find a full size bed, twin size bed, night stand, phone chargers, and luggage racks. There is a sliding door that leads to the balcony that overlooks the backyard. The backyard is fully fenced in and includes a jacuzzi and a fire pit with seating around it. There is also a shed with 2 full size kayaks and one inflatable kayak(for kids). The front porch is my favorite place. It has two rocking chairs that look out into the beautiful trees. Please know the cabin has original hardwood floors and was built in the early 1980's. It is meant to be cozy and rustic. While staying at the Black Duck Cabin you will have access to the entire 1/2 acre property. It includes the cabin itself and the detached 2 car garage. The garage door openers will be left on the counter (Please don't forget to leave them when you checkout). Please park in the garage if you would like. The property also comes with river access. If you go to the end of the driveway and turn right you will come to a trail head on National Forest land. Take the trails down to the river (10-15 minute walk). It also comes with access to the private marina (boat launch and dock). The placard for your vehicle will be left on the counter as well. Directions to the marina will be in the welcome book. Please be careful when walking around the edges of the A frame roof. The corners are low and very easy to bump your head on ( I know from experience). It's definitely not expected but if you do use firewood from the porch and from the rack inside could you please replenish it from the stacked wood in the front yard. Again if you're not able to please disregard. We definitely want you to have a great time at the cabin but please no loud parties. We still have not met the neighbor to the left when looking at the street, but from what we've been told he is never there.
