Such a lovely old building, converted with great taste to make a very pleasant stay up in the hills, about ten minutes drive from the waters of Lake Como. Our room #2 featured a nice West facing terrace looking across the valley, and had a table and chairs, and two loungers. Yet still loads more space. Comfy bed, and nice furniture to compliment the room. Small bathroom with bidet, toilet, sink, and a small shower. Shutters on all the windows keep the early morning light out, and the summer heat out too. No evening meals, which is understandable economically for just the six rooms (currently). But a decent continental breakfast to help start the day, before exploring the region. A ten minute drive to Argegno on Lake Como is best for an evening meal. If not, there are three simple cafe / bars offering limited food. A car really is a must. It's not easy to get there by bus. It's not impossible. We did it. But it's much easier with a rental car, and there's plenty of parking. The three ladies we have encountered in reception all do as much as they possibly can to help you out.

We stayed at The La Torre hotel for two nights after our flight back to Manchester was cancelled due to a Strike at Milan airport the day before our departure (Saturday 15th July) & couldn't get a flight back until Monday 17th July . We were left in a turmoil as we had to be out of our accommodation Saturday morning & managed to find this Hotel on *********** & booked one of the family room suites for 2 nights. We made the booking & set off on the 1.5hrs drive to the La Torre Hotel with my wife & her daughter & 10yr old son. We arrived at the hotel at 11am in the small village & the booking was confirmed but it had only been booked for 2 adults ( Our mistake) & to make matters worse it was no children under 14!! The receptionist was absolutely brilliant & managed to sort & allowed our 10yrs old grandson to stay as she understood the mistake was genuine. We were taken to the family room & we were very pleasantly surprised as the room was spotless & spacious. The hotel has a charming rustic feel to it & is full of character. Yes as previous review states there isn't aircon in the room & it was warm at night but this wasn't a major issue & the ambiance of the Hotel made up for this. Any help with local restaurants or info about the village the hotel Staff were fantastic & they could not do enough for us. This is a lovely 3 star hotel with brilliant staff & i wouldn't hesitate to return if we ever stayed in the Lake Como area again. Thank you to all the Staff at La Torre we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Matt & Kim Navesey.

We were very impressed with this hotel, it is clean, comfortable, friendly staff who make you feel at home, great service and great food. Plenty of time to inform us about the area and how to get around. Definitely will come back and highly recommended.

The staff is helpful and kind. The village is beatiful. The room was without airconditioning or shutters so at day and night there's about 40 degrees centigrade in the room. When we open the window at night the noise outside was so loud that my wife was unable to sleep. All day and night the heavy trucks and motobikers are making loud noise.

One of the best experiences we've ever had on vacation, a fantastic place, the food is always wonderful and fresh, lots of variety in every meal, everything very well prepared. The drinks are always very cold, making it impossible to drink a warm beer. The ice creams made at the resort are incredible (it's worth highlighting the tapioca and coconut ice cream) The recreation also deserves a lot of attention, both the adult and children's monitors are wonderful and bring joy to everyday life, super lively games, all without exception are excellent. The place is beautiful, but it is worth highlighting the staff there, who are always very polite, helpful and work with a lot of happiness and love. The night shows are also very good, the themed dinners and the burgers are perfect. It is simply impossible to find any fault with everything we had on vacation at Lá Torre. It was a wonderful 6 days and we are already looking forward to coming back on our next vacation.

Hotel well located in the Val d'Intelvi, ideal "base camp" for exploring Lakes Como and Lugano, but also for superb mountain hikes. The rooms are spacious, clean, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is charming, very attentive...and speaks French if necessary. Concerning the overall rating, I give 5, because we were in a room which overlooks the back of the hotel, on the pool side, where the view is also magnificent. Our friends who slept in a room facing the street would have put 4, because the noise of vehicles is really important, to keep in mind when booking if you want to have a pleasant time

I'm talking about the restaurant for dinner, the owner is kind but not enough, hot white wine is not acceptable, spaghetti with lake fish is a brick, risotto with very greasy perch, fillet cut very thin almost like a steak.

Wonderful place, we went to spend the holidays with the family. The best food you can find. Charming place, extremely friendly employees. Nice hotel near Lake Como, just in the mountains. Nice view and quiet at the rear. Delicious Italian food in the evening and delicious breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff and everything was spic and span clean. All in all highly recommended
