Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel & Spa

We have visited Bryn meadows 3 times previously a few years back and always had a pleasant experience. Our experience this time unfortunately wasn’t as good as we remember. The positives of our experience were the views, overall food and overall spa experience. The negatives were the cleanliness of the whole hotel, staff, room decor. We really enjoyed our meals, considering the amount of poor food reviews the blas restaurant has, our food was extremely tasty. We also really enjoyed our breakfast experience. Lovely calm atmosphere and plenty of continental options. The breakfast itself wasn’t the best breakfast we’ve had, but we still enjoyed. The pool area wasn’t as clean as we would like, some tiles being broken. But we still did enjoy our time spent in the jacuzzi and in the sauna room/steam room. The spa treatments were ok. The rooms are far from modern, and are in desperate need of updating. Old dusty chipped furniture, cracked sink and bath, mouldy tiles and bath mat. But despite this, we both had an incredible sleep, very quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable fresh bed. My rating of 3/5 for my stay at Bryn Meadows isn’t due to the food, spa or rooms, but unfortunately due to the staff members. Not one single member of staff made us feel very welcome. ‘Hi how are you today?’ ‘Have a nice day/evening’ ’Good Morning’ ‘I hope you enjoy your stay with us’ , would really have improved our stay. It felt like the staff were just trying to get their job done and go home, none of them seemed interested in us as guests.

From beginning to end, we had such a fantastic stay and experience. Service was outstanding. Golf activities are available but didn't interfere with our overnight stay. There was a wedding in the marquee also didn't interfere with our overnight stay either. Facilities were all included, and there no need to book them in. We were really happy with this. The food was amazing, both evening meal and breakfast too. Will definitely return soon and will definitely recommend it to others. Many thanks.

Yet another fantastic golfing weekend at Bryn Meadows,. This year there were 26 of us and everyone of said we’ll be back again next year!!! From the initial booking & Planning of the trip with Susan to the ever-professional staff in the pro shop (Tasha & Katie), restaurant (Jake & Aubrey) & Winners bar (Scott - you’re a legend) & reception (I think the young girl there was Susan as well) - A massive thanks to you all Looking forward to doing it all again with you next year. Every single one of you guys ROCK !

We were here for a wedding in the Fairway suite, lovely venue, plenty of room, staff were good the place was in a great location, my only gripes were that it didn't take long for the toilets to become messy and they weren't checked or cleaned all evening and the bar was way to small to cope with the amount of guests, other than that we had a great time.

Very over priced we stayed in 2 different rooms both were shabby. Walls were marked, tiles in bathroom missing, grout was black, taps not secure, furniture marked. Beds not made up for kids, beer cans left outside our door, poo left in toilet. We were given 2 towels for a family of 4 and were told they were running low, asked for water we were told they had run out the next day we asked again we were given 2 small bottles and was told that we could not have anymore. Some of the staff were very rude (not all). My daughter cut her foot in the pool on a broken tile. Breakfast was decent and the grounds look well kept but rooms are not up to scratch I would expect more from a travel lodge.

Great stay, the staff were all really friendly and helpful. We had some very comfortable beds in reasonably sized rooms! The restaurant has a fantastic view over the course and into the distance which made the dining experiance even better! I would gladly stay here again!

Would you charge £220 a night for a room that? Because despite writing a complaint to the General Manager and Owner, who read the complaint they never replied. 1. A hole in the wardrobe. 2. A dirty, stained bath with hairs left behind. 3. Stains on the tiles by the bath handle. 4. Water spilling from the tap heads when in use. 5. Bins containing the previous guest’s rubbish. 6. Hair clips on the chair and the floor. 7. A dirty outer blanket with a red stain. 8. Sink taps providing only cold water, with no hot water available. 9. A non-functional safe, crucial for safeguarding valuables. 10. A patio area with no chairs or tables. several issues arose during our dining experience: Certain menu items, such as; 11. lamb mint burgers, were unavailable. 12. The coffee machine was broken. 13. Food took an hour to be served. 14. Basic condiments were not provided, and staff could not find red sauce, forcing guests to proceed without it. The overall dining experience was disappointing and did not reflect the service quality expected from a four-star hotel. The following morning, the groom, myself, the ushers, and the bride's father planned to have breakfast together. However, we were met with an uncooperative attitude from the serving staff. They refused to rearrange tables to accommodate our group, forcing us to sit separately and further diminishing our experience. Additionally, my wife was denied a bottle of water for the room and was told to purchase it from the reception, despite us staying for more than one night. Is it not customary to replenish room water daily for extended stays?

We had excellent and friendly service from Sara and Bethany in the Blas restaurant. Sarah and Bethany were very welcoming when we first entered the Blas restaurant. Food was lovely. Rooms clean and the bed was very comfortable. Cleaning staff friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay a good one. Rachel & Paul x

Booked in here as an overnight stop off on route to Figured from Cornwall. The location is just off the charts. What an amazing view over the Walsh valleys. The hotel itself and the rooms seem a bit dated. Also they would do well to clean their windows on all there rooms and even the main door to the hotel. This is not a good look . Having a maintenance back round I always call out these issues.The windows in our room had most defiantly not been cleaned for a long while. We found the hotel overall cold. Having dinner in the evening both my wife and I had some issues but these were addressed and resolved within a matter of minutes. Well done to the restaurant manager on that evening. 10/10 Also we noticed that there were a number of guests in pajamas in the restaurant for breakfast. This not something that most guests would appreciate. The staff I must say were very professional and very friendly.
