Excellent location, 3-5 min walk from Lello bookstore, Igreja do Carmo and Torre dos Clerigos. About a 15 min walk to Cais da Ribeira and so much to see as you make your way down. This mini hotel ( or B&B) is well maintained, spacious rooms and nice breakfast. Staff is very pleasant, special shout out to Helio from Brazil who gave us great service and was very polite. The only issue we had is that our room was located in the 4th floor and wood stairs are a bit noisy, on the day we checked out we left at 6 am and we had another guest came out of their room upset with us because of the noise from the stairs. However this was a small thing and expected with very old buildings in Europe. I'd recommend this property 100%

Perfect location in Porto and such a friendly place. Just a few minutes walk to the centre. We had a lovely spacious room (room 1) on the first floor with quality finishings and comfortable bed and nice balcony. The staff were so friendly and welcoming especially Haidi who welcomed us when we arrived and the breakfast ladies were lovely.

The location of the hotel is very good - within walking distance of the river and major attractions, but on a pedestrian only street in a lively and interesting area with many coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is converted from a rather grand period town house with huge rooms with balconies with French windows. Breakfast is served in what would have been the cellar with garden and indoor seating. An excellent cold buffet is provided and eggs will be cooked to order if required. The staff are friendly and helpful. Management are not on site at all times as there is a sister hotel nearby, but they are contactable by telephone and entry is by keycode so you can come and go as you like. Hotel arranged airport pick up for us. Can highly recommend this hotel.

This was a perfect base to explore Porto. Casa Carolina is located only a short walk from the rail station [5 - 10 mins] and having initially walked past the door to the guest house [it wasn't particularly well signed], we were warmly welcomed. The rooms were large, spacious and clean and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Breakfasts were super, pre ordered on arrival and freshly cooked. Our final morning we left very early and a take away breakfast was prepared for us. All in all a terrific stay!

We stayed here for a week as a couple. Very relaxing comfortable stay. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice and it filled you up for the day ahead. Great location. There other property a hostel is well worth a visit for a meal. Food was excellent.

We stayed in room number 4 for one night. The room was very nice with a small balcony facing the inner courtyard. In general, we really liked the whole house. However, it is very noisy when walking on the upper floor. And unfortunately for us that was in the middle of the night and for a very, very long time. No idea why you're walking around the room at 3am!? Sleep was out of the question. Breakfast was very tasty. Gladly again!

Estar alojados en este hotel ha sido una experiencia inmejorable. El hotel está situado en una calle muy céntrica a 2 minutos andando de la Igreja do Carmo y la Librería Lello. Pero a pesar de lo céntrico, es un lugar súper tranquilo y seguro. Ubicación fantástica para visitar todo Oporto caminando. La habitación es súper grande, con una cama enorme y cómoda, un pequeño balconcito y un lavabo con una bañera fantástica. En 4 días no hemos cogido un solo transporte público. El desayuno es de una excelente calidad. Pastas, pan y embutidos, cereales, yogures, zumo de naranja natural, leche, café y huevos que te ofrecen hacerlos fritos, revueltos o en tortilla. Todo ello acompañado por la amabilidad total de Sabrina, que te hará sentir como en casa. Recomiendo este alojamiento al 100%. Te garantizo que mejorará la experiencia de tus vacaciones.
